You can adjust the clutch height if you so desire.

Dear CSF: Yours is an opinion--which I respect. But, I'm talking 'bout s-t-a-t-i-s-t-i-c-s! NOT ONE POST of a Zed owner with an auto tranny, complaining
about it. NOT ONE, kid! ON THE OTHER hand...read along these threads 'bout
clunky, problem-riddled, REPLACED (and, once the warranty is done with, you're STUCK!) manual trannies! Sorry, m'friend!!!

Dear j.arnaldo: it was a joke...hence the smilie and the "j/k". you go on every transmission related thread and say the same thing: "NOT ONE" problem/complaint/pet peeve with AT. people with ATs complaining that they should have gone MT was just to counter your "NOT ONE POST" claims. granted, it's not a complaint about transmission failures, but a complaint none the less. i'm not the type to say MT is the only way. i've always said get what suits your needs.
and please, don't call me kid.

Get the roadster, nothing better than top down on a nice day or night. You can really hear the engine and exhaust with the top down. Makes the driving pleasure even better.

Good Luck with your decision.

Damn, this kid always stirs up $h1t about auto vs. manual...grow the hell up man and keep your opinions to yourself. Learn how to drive a stick if that's what you're bitter about...

i dont know why everyone says the MT is tought in these cars. go drive a cobra and feel the difference... its actually a very forgiving clutch if youre comparing to a number of other cars.

the nice thing about the high engagement point, (and most people dont realize this ive noticed from reading posts about speed shifting), is that you dont have to depress the clutch all the way to the floor to throw the next gear. just get past the firm part and when it gets soft you can stop and throw the next gear. try this, i guarantee your shifts will improve by 110%: when ready to shift, as you let off the gas pull the shifter out of the current gear (you do not need the clutch to accomplish this, you really dont even need it at all to shift), and start to depress the clutch. while your foot is moving to engage the clutch, go ahead and throw the next gear. as soon as the shifter is in place pull off the clutch and hit the gas.

alot of people feel that you must depress the clutch to pull it out of gear as well, but in fact you dont.

^^ I got my 08 enthusiast ~ 2 months ago. Never drove a stick before I took it off the lot....needless to say I stalled it twice in the lot, which looking back I am quite proud it was only twice!

Anyways for the first month and a half I'd been shifting pushing it all the way to the floor...which I had a hard time even after a few weeks with being smooth with having to let it back up to the high engagement point perfectly..

Then I discovered you don't have to push it all the way to the floor....not even close actually, and now its so much smoother and easier.

The auto is still quick but its just not as fun and you dont get that true sports car experience. I say get the MT if you can...

But admittadly when I went from my 88 VW GTI with 5-speed manual to a 06 Tiburon with 6-speed manual, it was a huge difference and very weird... but I got used to it after a day or so of driving.

Now try driving a Saturn Sky Redline... the clutch in that thing pissed me off! It felt like the point where the clutch starts to grab changes!!! Sometimes its really high in the pedal, sometimes it was lower. Maybe it was just me and since it was a brand new car with no miles on it, the cutch wasn't broken in... but damn...

hey man ....i used to have a Tiburon too....haha...just wanna say that out only ...nth much ..

I'd die if I had to drive AT. I don't care if MT's clunky or not. I'd love to have a convertible Z if it was a hard top convertible. I drove a Miata for 15 years. Went through 3 roofs. Big drag, but yes, I'm sure when the tops down it's f'n awesome in the Z. Does ultimately look sexier than coupe when it's down, but coup=better compared to Convertible with the roof up. (IMHO)
