Try "heel toe" when down shifting. This will match the Rev's better so the VDC doesn't take over. If you turn off your VDC and lock up the tires during a down ****, you could be in allot of trouble

On a recent Run here in L.A. my VDC came into action. I was coming into a down hill hair pin turn a little hot. The car started to push pretty bad through the turn. The VDC came to life and corrected the car right away. It saved me from hitting a cliff.
