No, it's not. I've had multiple salvage title cars insured by multiple companies and have never had a problem.

::knocking on wood:: I have a salvaged title Z for a few years now.. no problems with it at all.. but I agree that the resale value won't be as high.. but neither should the purchase price..

Concur with that.

Car is a biggest depreciating asset. As soon as you drive it off the lot it looses $4000 brand new, used ones loose even more. Unless one is planing to keep the car for longer than 10 years, paying retail plus tax won't land you in the money.

Another option would be financing and only if interest rate and fees are less than potential investment return on the $30gs that would of been spent on the car.

NOTHING BEATS A BRAND NEW CAR... its a different feeling than buying a used and salvage?.. dont do it... u dont know how it has been drivin, specially since it was crashed?.. jus get an 08.. a 370 would be siik, but since the though of buyin a salvage crossed ur mind, u must not want to pay alot.. so get an 08
