Default The Z and I part our ways tomorrow

Well the time has come for the Z and I to part our ways. I sold the car after only 4 months. It was a decent car to own but the quality was just not there. Interior is plasticy, leather is cheap and the car is loud and has squeaks. I guess it doesn't help that I put a light weight flywheel setup in. The paint is far from quality as it scratched easily and had rain stains. Being the car is a 2003 with only 17,800 miles too. All in all I liked the power, looks and handling capacity. I just didn't care for the car quality. I went back to luxury and bought a Mercedes SL500. However, I appreciate everyone's help during the time I owned the Z.

Take care buddy. Someone else will enjoy the 350Z. Someone who is not into luxury.

I'm new to the Z and don't mean this negatively, but the Z wasn't for you to begin with. It's a sports car and not made to be a silent luxury. It seems as if you understand that and have made the choice necessary for your wants. Good luck with the Benz, hope it turns out to be what you need. (serious, not being a jerk)

I definetly appreciate all the thoughts! I thought I would love the Z being I use to be a Mustang fan with 500 RWHP! Oh well, I guess you grow out of things. Who knows, I may get back into the Z in a few years

I'm guessing the answer prob is money, but..

Why didn't you fix all those things, sound deadening and exaust restrictions would have taken care of noise... and the interior would have looked sweet re-done... someone (here i think) has a custom leather interior that looks uber sweet!! A luxary Z is possible with some $$

Not to prod further, but didn't you notice the quality of the car before
your purchase? Why not buy an slk? boxster? cayman? The Z just seems
way off for your taste. Was the mustang a significantly different experience,
power aside? I've driven a few sl's of late and have found them (and other
mercedes vehicles) to have poor suspension, lagging power curves, and
RIDICULOUS maintenance bills. Please elaborate as I am clearly missing
the point.

You bought a used 2003 Z then switched to a 100K mercedes. Was that decision your midlife crisis to drive a sports car? odd...
