+3 on the Jeremy thing. I went through the same thing 2 years ago, and was relieved to see him change his tune, but now I don't respect his opinion anyway. He likened the engine sound to a cement mixer if I recall. Anyway, the funny thing is I've never had a 'sports car' before my Z, and I didn't even notice any road noise until someone pointed it out. Of course, with my 1500 watt stereo, it's hard to notice....

From the man who drives a FordGT, the 350z and other 'normal' cars must really annoy him. But I still love the show.

On FG, she complains about the shift light... well, um, set it 1K above redline and you will never see it (unless you are trying to destroy the car).

well i was kind of just acting like a Neanderthal, but let's be honest, women tend to not have a ton of credibility when it comes to the automotive world. i mean hell, look at Danika Patrick, she gets all emotional and whines like a school girl whenever she doesn't win...........bah.

not to say that i didn't enjoy that review or what the lady had to say, but a lot of people in the sports car world will quickly dismiss a woman's review. and i am not saying that is fair either, just the way it is.......

It's Jeremy Clarkson... Don't worry about him lol, he's allways like that in his shows. I'm content and I love the sound my car makes inside the cabin. I still <3 top gear.

As long as you love the car then who gives a rats a$$ about what some old fat dude said on a TV show?

I think he knew the car would take off, even people who don't own one love the Z. He just wanted to be controversial so people would talk about him. The Z never really did recieve negative press or reviews aside from Clarkson's. Even 5 years on we're still saying "omfg Clarkson didn't like the Z"

On a side note, rumor has it he was hungover when he did the review.

He was sluggish driving it. I think the system turned him off.

One thing we have to remember is Jeremy is an old, fat, balding man and he wants a car that is smooth and comfortable to drive. The Z is pretty comfortable and the ride is okay but it can be quite bumpy. Too bad the Z doesn't come with adjustable damper settings like the TT 300ZX's did... but he'd probably put it in sport and then conveniently forget it has a comfort setting like they seem to do with all the Vette reviews too.

As for the sound... the engine doesn't really make much noise, you mostly hear the tuned exhaust which I really like because its very unique. You can drive 50 sports cars by someone with their eyes closed and the 350Z sounds different from all of them.

It wouldn't surprise me if Jeremy was hung over, you know all those late nights he spends with Johnny Vegas.

And what is wrong with the Ford GT???? That is an awesome car! Granted its not reliable and will break down as often there is a day that ends with the letter Y but it sounds and looks so sexy.

I can understand why he likes the RX-8 though, it handles great and sounds awesome... but its slow for its price.

Another thing you have to realize is that, they love British cars more than anything. I have heard them praise very few Japanese or American cars.
