Traded 2001 Prelude for 350Z, insurance went down
Down by $360/year. I asked why and the insurance guy said maybe it is cuz the Z is harder to steal.... this happen to any of you guys who recently bought a Z?
I was happy aand everything, but I thought maybe they made a mistake, seemed too good to be true.

Maybe insurance went down because the Prelude is considered a Sports Car.
To the insurance company the 350Z is considered as a Two seat passenger car...
My brother was looking at a RSX and it had higher insurance than i do...

Ihad a '93 Prelude Vtec and my insurance only went up $20 mth, and that's for a car 10 years newer, unbelieveable. Preludes are expensive to insure due to the high rate of theft and high rate of crashes (along with many other Hondas). Insurance companies look at the losses on particular models and base rates on that.
