Default Some issues with my used Z... [need advice]

So, I got my 2007 Z (used) earlier this month. (July 8th to be exact.)

I LOVE the car. Today the "Service Engine Soon" light came on, so I took it to the dealer. Nothing too crazy, the cat needs to be replaced. It's under warranty, so no biggie.

But, I find out a few other things. Apparently, my tires are bald. The dealer I bought it from (a mitsubishi dealer) has rear tires on order for me. However, They did not mention getting me front tires. The front tires are bald too. I know I already bought the car from them, but is there a way I could get them to get me front tires too? Is it against the law to sell bald tires to someone or something? I'm not sure.

Also, another thing. Nissan said the wrong coolant is in my car. They said its a different color than the standard and then told me what the standard coolant is. They recommended I tell the dealer I bought it from to give me a coolant flush and put in the proper coolant. Do you think the dealer will do that for me?

Do I have any leeway at all since I've already bought the car? Am I entitled to these things?

Thanks,

h0pes

Tires are on your dime.

Manufactures generally specify a special coolant. For the 350Z a name brand coolant for an aluminium block is fine. Sorry but I don't know if this type a coolant is a specific color.

by the tires being "bald" if it passes safety then its up to you to buy new ones. and it also matters how you bought the car safety and certified then if its not safe in under a month then letter to dealer head office and find out who did the safety is in your future to get free stuff to fix these problems.

on the matter of coolent go by the owners manual being that the car was used the dealer probibly didnt put that coolent in it so its not there problem, and some additives can discolour the coolent so it may not be the wrong colour but just something added.

I doubt it.

But I'm writing my congressman, asking him to draft a bill that will make it against the law for anyone to buy a used car without looking at the tires first.

Just got my used Z as well 2 weeks ago. I was waxing it this past weekend and on the passanger door towards the front bottom, there is a tiny ridge. it is like the door alignment was off and someone tried to shut the door. It can only be seen if you are eye to eye with it.

Of course everything is ok now with the alignment but it is bubbling a tiny but behind where the ridge is (not noticeable unless looked at up close). Went to pick up my tags yesterday, they told me they cannot do anything cause I had the car 2 weeks. I told them i can understand that if it is a scratch or something, but the pain was a bit bubbled and that takes months to happen. He said he understands but it falls in the same category as all other body work related issues.

Obviously bull Sh*# but they wont do anything. If the paint winds up chipping off, its gonna cost a lot. i might go to a detail place and have them give me a quote and explanation, maybe including long term ware was involved. Regardless I should have inspected every detail, but were all human and miss things...

The manual says to use the green stuff 50/50 with distilled water, which is what comes in car from Nissan. If yours wasn't green, then the problem could be if the system wasn't flushed when the new (non green) stuff was added, and now you have a mixture, and this could be bad. Note: the color generally indicates the types of chemicals used to inhibit corrosion. You don't want to mix chemicals. So, even if blue, red/orange, and green are okay for aluminum metals, the chemicals may be different.
