Unhappy My poor Z

Well, as some know I got a new motor from NNA and got back to Louisiana Friday... I left my parents house to head back to Baton Rouge yesterday evening and got in a wreck on the worst bridge to get hit on in Louisiana.

Basically I slowed down on the downward slope of the overpass because traffic was at a standstill ahead. I looked behind me to make sure the next car is stopping... he does, it's all good. About 5+ seconds later I hear tires sliding and I was on the phone, I said "OH ***" before I got hit and hung up right afterwards. The girl in front of me checks to see if she got hit but I didn't... she pulls up along with me and the other car JIC more cars decide to finish us off. Basically a new Monte Carlo rearended the car behind me and he also got hit by a Durango from the side. Pushed him into me and the rear on the Z is pretty bad. Not totaled but it doesn't look too good. Looks a lot worse in person, at least I think so. The center of the rear bumper is damn near past or even with the end of the hatch.

Rear bumper is smashed obviously... I also have a crease in the rear quarter panel that's hard to see in the picture. My toe looks off as well on the rear passenger side.

Funny how I drove for about 20 hours of driving since Wednesday and I get in an accident when I had 30 more minutes left

As far as me... my lower back is a little stiff, gonna try to go to the doctor soon. My neck seemed somewhat stiff this morning but it seems like it's okay now. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it was and others behind the ones who hit us actually paid attention.

Good to hear you are ok bro... like others have posted... Cars can be replaced, but you can't... so it's good you are ok...

As for the back and neck prob... I would do the "ice it down, and heat it up" towel trick with some advil... and get check'd by a physician.

Hope you get your car soon. I feel for you.. I was in a rear end ding too, but not as bad as yours.

Thanks guys... I'm going to try to get it fixed when I start driving my daily driver. Talked to the guy that painted my Prelude and he's gonna take care of me.

My accident last year was exactly the same. I got hit in the rear and had quarter panel damage. Expect the cost to repair around the 7-8k mark.
