Default I got nailed! (Pic inside)

My tire has a nail stuck in it. No idea how long it's been there. It's in there pretty good (can't be pulled out by hand). I have no air loss/lowered tired pressure.
Should I leave it how it is or have it pulled out and plugged?
Does plugging it weaken the tire??

**UPDATE
Hey just to update everyone, I went to my normal gas station/oil change/garage and they plugged it for free. It took a couple minutes and I gave the guy $5. Holding up fine.

I am no expert but my understanding is for normal driving the plug would be no big deal. If you plan on doing high speeds like taking the car to the track, replace the tire.

My average driving speed is 35-40mph. Top speed won't be over 60-65mph.
I guess I'll get it plugged. Just a hassle. 2nd screw/nail in a tire in 2 months.

whos trying to win...

this forum is supposed to be a online community for helping one another......but for some the testosterone levels increase and for some unknown reason the interweb brings the tough guy out of all these idiots who would other wise never speak up in person......

we are not all at the same level of expertise.....and obviously the OP needs is asking for help.....this thread should be done in 5 or fewer responses and then gone into my350z depths of neverland........but how much you wanna bet it turns into two pages by the end of the day..........

to the op...just go to tire shop and have it plugged.......should cost 5-6 bucks...

I had the same thing happen to mine about 8 months ago. A large diameter screw about 3/4 inch long. I had to use pliers to remove it, and have had no tire pressure loss as a result. And not running run-flat tires, just the manufacturer tires.
