cross country drive
driving from Cleveland to phoenix,AZ. its approx 1800 miles and a 30 hour drive. going to do this over 3 days. any helpfull suggestions on prepping my beautifull '04 enthusiast? thinking about alignment and balance before i go. i put new good year eagle F1 all seasons on in march so that was my last balancing. alignment was done 2 years ago when i had the old rims and had the tire feathering issue resolved. so what do you think?

Not sure what route you will be taking. I assume that it will take you through the mountains in Colorado and Northern Arizona. That would be the most enjoyable part of the trip.
Ohio to Central Colorado is pretty flat.

sweet man, i just completed a 3200 mile trip from philly stayed north on 90 then 15 to san diego, we took our time and made it a 7 day trip, very fun road trip. dont forget lotsa drinks.
I'm a very new Z owner, so there are likely quirks that I don't know about. However, unless there is a reason why you think there may be alignment problems with the Z, I'd say that it would be unnecessary.
These are the things that I'd consider:
- Tires (You already took care of this)
- Oil & Filter
- Coolant: When was the last coolant flush? If over a year or two, then I'd do it.
- Brake fluid: Again, if the brake fluid is over a year or two old, I'd probably flush it.
- Check wiper fluid level
- Check brake pad thickness, you didn't say the number of miles on the car.
Have fun. I love road trips.

What dhays said, plus check your tire pressure.
You won't have much time for sightseeing, but you might want to post in the Regional Forums to see if there are any sights along your route that are true "must see" items. Sad to say, if you need to make 600 miles a day, you're probably going to be on lots of Interstate instead of perhaps more interesting back roads. You might also want to check various states' DOT websites to check on the possibility of horrible road construction along your proposed route.
Take music of your choice, and don't forget the obvious stuff like sunglasses and ibuprofen....
Oh, and I always find it helpful to give the car interior a good clean-out and vacuum before I leave on a trip. It just helps me feel better about the environment, and makes it easier to find stuff while underway. YMMV.
Have a good trip!

Put a few extra layers of wax on the nose of your Z and also on the mirror housings. You will be very happy you did when you go to remove all the bug guts from your road trip. ENJOY!!!
