1992 Ford Tempo GLS coupe.

That Vulcan V6 had so much low-end torque, I couldn't stall that little car if I tried.

My mom still has that car. If she ever upgrades, I'm shipping that car to my house here in Texas.

my good friend has a VW corrado Vr6 and that car has the smoothest shifting transmission i have ever felt.

and my old fc3s went from notchy to decently smooth after i switched it to Redline MT-90, it was night and day.

I hate my friends shifter in his civic, and my other friends neon, and my other friends 1999 Mustang.

I actually like the 3g eclipse tranny with a short shifter.

S2000, with my old gen 3 integra right behind that.

Funny how many Honda products are named in this thread..... They make fantastic transmissions.

05 BMW 328i. The trannys are so forgiving in those things. The Z is my first manual as well, and after driving the 328 (proficiently), it made me think about how much easier it would have been for me to learn in a car like that vs. the Z. Notchyness and heavy clutch with a beginner FTMFL.

Subaru GL-10 (first car) used to power shift the FK out of that beast and it took it like a street *****. Lambo Gallardo E-Gear is fastest smoothest shift though.

any Mustang Cobra Tremec 6 speed transmission.

Had a G35 with 6 speed, car was excellent, but that transmission sucked for shifting, especially downshifting.

So now I have the automatic Z.

I learned in my cousins ef and eg. His ef was super easy to drive. When I switched to his eg, it was a ***** cause he had a harsh clutch, rough shifting and NO power steering. When I got used to it, it was pretty fun.

When I got my Z, it was a bit to get used to. Shifting was rough, but I got used to it.

I drove my buddies s2k, it felt really smooth, but I dunno, it felt wimpy compared to my Z. The clutch was reaaally soft, a bit too soft.

I dunno, I guess I like it rough...

Pun intended.
