I like it. The feel is also notchy, like the Z. The clutch is not stiff at all. The shifter is very precise stock, and pretty awesome with help from some aftermarket bushings.

I think my best shifting car was my '69 SS396 with a Muncie 4 speed and a Hurst shifter. Amazingly easy car to shift well.

For a mustang, it has a very precise shift pattern and the clutch is short and to the point also.

My 06' Z. I've owned nearly a dozen cars (all MT), and driven over 30 different cars and nothing comes close to my Z. So smooth, clutch grabs like a charm, and accelleration is so smooth.....BTW I am not being biased because I own a 350z or that this is a 350z forum This is just "MY" experience.

Having owned S2k, best shifter by far. I never stalled on the car, nor ever missed a shift, it work just like oil. Integra GSR comes pretty close, but in the end, 350z is the best sportscar I've ever owned, so far.

Used to work in a repair shop and drove a lot of cars (and did a lot of hill starts on a steep gravel hill) Mid ninties hondas and E36 BMWs were by far my favorites. EG civics in particular, but S2K's were also great (and a little sportier) as far as honda's go.

Special honorbale mention goes to a 1970something mercedes 240d. Yup non turbo'd diesel with probably about 60hp and a 4speed manual. Sooooooo fun. You just drive everywhere at 10/10ths on the limit, a hell of a lot of fun AND you dont break any speed limits

My 67 GTO was my all time favorite. You could hammer that thing.

An old 1987 BMW 318i. Recently though, I would have to say my 1993 Efini Rx7. Being RHD, and I'm right handed, the Rx7 was a breeze!

The smoothest car I have ever driven definitely has to go to the Mercedes S class, that is automatic though. As for manuals the S2000 was quite good. Now only if the rest of the car was as good as the transmission, that car is probably so smooth because of how it can't get any torque.

Yeah, it's smooth 'cuz it lacks torque!
