Yeah man, here is a short check list of how to pay for boost:

1) Move back in with parents
2) Don't pay any bills (ie. mooch off mom and dad)
3) Get a loan for required amount (make sure dad co-signs)
4) Trick out your Z (with best JDM available, so you look cooler)
5) Enjoy immense satisfaction of taking credit for 0 work done

I'm not sure about your financial situation, but if I found myself wanting to boost my own car, I would work more hours or earn additional income from another job.

Personally I would NEVER take out a loan to pay for a turbo or S/C, or any asset that doesn't go up in value. A car mod isn't necessarily something one has to do, it's something one would want to do with one's disposable income, and there's a big difference there.

write a letter to George W. Bush. he is great with money and can probably give you a few pointers. I bet he would recommend going out of the country to get it done

$8-$10k is WAYYYYYYY too much. Just spend $60 and get a turbonater... you would own all (cept RSX's of course) Or you could always go about turning tricks. I'd pay $10.00 for a blumpkin!!!!

Everyone is in different situations. I had a lot of cash sitting around earning between 4.5 and 5.75% interest in a money market account. The build was worth more than the interest and the cash to me. My build was many times what you are talking about, so I would never have done it unless the cash was readily available, not needed for anything else, and there was no other use for the funds that could bring a good return within my portfolio. Most builds can be done around that bracket of pricing if you are shooting for 400whp or less, IMO. there are of course only 2 ways to increase the cash you have:
1. Make more.
2. Spend less.

Most people ignore #2.
Most people focus on #1, but not in the right way. They end up barely keeping up with inflation, a lot of the time. To make a big difference in #1, you will have to go outside the box.

How?!?!?! It's only sick for the one giving it and if you're uncomfy with a guy giving one just throw on a wig and some lipstick or tape a pic of Megan Fox to his face but make sure to cut out eye holes cuz eye contact is key to a successfull blumpkin

yeah first off i have a job a very good job, i actually have enough saved to just go and buy the kit and have it done, but like i said i do not have the money to blow, i have other things going on in life. also the make more spend less thing just never seems to happen due to bills, and trying to have a life, I do not want to put it on a credit card as i think thats stupid and a personal loan is maybe a option even though i don't think its a great idea, basically just curious to hear from the ones who have boosted there cars and how they got it done.

I'm confused now. You have enough to buy it and install it BUT you have too many other bills and stuff going on in your life to actually follow through with buying it? I think you answered your own question. If you have other outstanding debt such as school loans or credit cards pay them off first. Trust me you'll regret spending all that money just to turn around and see yourself buried in more debt. If you boost your Z and don't pay off your bills and your motor pops then what? You'd have to replace the motor and you still have your bills. I'm not saying your motor WILL pop but use this modo: Hope for the best, plan for the worst. Best of luck bro. I didn't mean to come off sarcastic but you can either afford to boost your Z and not affect your day to day life or you can't.

You have to man up and just work and save money. It ain't all that complicated. There is a great new invention called a "savings account". Try googling it.

You should have 20k liquid to F/I your car...

10k for basic install/tune + other misc. items.
10k to replace everything after you blow your motor.
