Traded Z For Vette And back again to the Z !
I purchased 350Z Super Black 6 speed Touring last year(Burnt orange seats). Traded it in for a 2001 Vette 6 speed Torch Red coupe and now today, traded in the vette for a new 350Z Touring 6 speed Super Black!(Black leather seats) Can anyone tell me how to read the Vin# so I can find out when this car was made etc? Sticker does not say. Can I find out when it was delivered? 22 miles on it. It feels so good to drive this baby again. Man it's great!!!!!!!

If you take a look inside your door frame on the drivers side, you will find a sricker which has the build month & year. That's as close as your gonna get to the actual build date..

There was nothing wrong with the vette. All together I lost around $8,000. The vette compared to the Z, well you can't! They are two different types that can't be matched. You have a heavy weight and a middle weight. With that in mind, I felt there was more action and fun with the Z. That's all there is to it! I think you understand, Right?

I've driven both a few times.. he's right.. they are both totally differnt cars. The Z is smoother in sound due to the V6 and the C5's V8 has a "meaner" sound to it. The Z seems to ride a little smoother as well. Interior quality is ok in both cars. I'm not really too fond of the C5's plasticky interior but then again, to me the Z interior isnt very appealing as well. The Z is easy to toss around the corners when driving it for the first time. The Vette takes a little more getting used to on the turns but when you get used to it, it will easily take turns at higher speeds than the Z. When it comes to speed, the vette wins hands down. You can do a 0-120 mph run in a Vette and get there in a short time well as a Z will take a good bit longer to reach those speeds.. Of course you are comparing a 6 to a 8 though. Theres just too much to list. Both cars have their ups and downs.
