GTR = OVER-RATED......personally im tired of hearing about the car. if it werent for the skyline, and all the mystic that comes with it. i believe the gtr would be just another all wheel dr grand touring car. its NOT a true sports car. my nismo is more of a true sports car, better looking and funner to drive. and the gtr is NOT a supercar.....cmon.

 

Super cars is not defined by price, but defined by how fast it runs around the ring. 7:38 or 7:29 (if true) is on the top super car territory. So yes, GTR is a supercar.

Those car you listed above are more of exotic car, except the zr1. zr1 is a supercar.

 

I do agree with this though. For example, they could just improve the latest nismo z chasis and beef it up to handle the extra power, fix the rear of the nismo (to some it is a bit riice) and integrate the signature skyline tailights, added 1" extra fender on each side to fit wider wheels, same engine and trans, 18" wheels only because GTR will be used by most for the track (cheaper on track tires), offer both Dual clutches and MT. This will keep the weight in check at less than 3400 pounds. Call it the ZGTR and this would be an awesome super car because it looks good and perform like a sport car should.

Then create limit edition ZGTR-Track with RWD only, this will bring the weight down to 3200 pounds.

Create the spec V version with RWD only, light weight seat, carbon body, etc and up the boost. It will be sick.

but my nismo is still more of a real (sports car) in my opinion.
and my z06 will beat a gtr with ease

And how is your nismo more of a sports car than the gtr? Because yours is a 6mt? Or because yours has a body kit?

 

I own a 350 and I own a GTR as well and I own few other "True Sports" cars too. I track my cars. If you think a 350 is comparable to a GTR in any way, you are simply fooling yourself.

because when i drive it, it doesnt remind me of driving a tank....and yes i drove a gtr, it feels heavy and is heavy. i wiil beat a gtr in a drag race and around any track in my z06....a monkey can drive a gtr around the track.

 

well good for you... i never said the 350z was comparable, i said the nismo felt like more of a sports car. i also track my cars and i can honestly say that i will be faster than you around any track in the country in my z06

 

the gtr is a grand touring car.............i would rather have a audi r8 easily.

you wont beat a GTR around a track in a z06, go look up some lap times where those 2 have raced, and you probably dont have a z06...

 

yea....i'll go look up some lap times, last time i checked i was'nt driving any of those cars being tested moron. i'm on the track every week end. go to redline timeattacks website and you will see where i won in my nismo in nashville, won in my s2000 in st louis, and came in second in modified in the z06 i dont have

again let me say, the gtr is an awsome car, for what it is.... a grand touring car.( what does gtr stand for?). all whel dr, launch control, ect. again, a monkey could drive that car. a true sports car ia a s2000, lotus, z, vette, viper,(2 seats, rwd, light weight.)

GT=grand touring, agreed...like the Porsche Carrera GT, Viper gts-r, 911 gt3, clk gtr, ect.....all inferior to your z06, especially to your nismo and definetely not supercars right?

 

a car can be the fastest, best drivable car in the world, but if the person behind the wheel cannot extract the cars capabilities then in the end it's just a normal car that can be beat.

 

well since speed racer says a super car is only rwd, what is a lamborghini???(awd) is it just a sports car??? cuz when someone says supercar, most people automatically think lambo or ferrari since they are the most well known supercars.
