GTR is nice but maybe we need a true High Performance sports car...
yea....i'll go look up some lap times, last time i checked i was'nt driving any of those cars being tested
moron. i'm on the track every week end. go to redline timeattacks website and you will see where i won in my nismo in nashville, won in my s2000 in st louis, and came in second in modified in the z06 i dont have
again let me say, the gtr is an awsome car, for what it is.... a grand touring car.( what does gtr stand for?). all whel dr, launch control, ect. again, a monkey could drive that car. a true sports car ia a s2000, lotus, z, vette, viper,(2 seats, rwd, light weight.)

I'm sure you are the best driver in the world. You just turned down multiple NASCAR and F1 contracts because you're too good for that. Besides, who are these professional race car drivers who writes reviews and test drive cars for a living anyways?
GT=grand touring, agreed...like the Porsche Carrera GT, Viper gts-r, 911 gt3, clk gtr, ect.....all inferior to your z06, especially to your nismo and definetely not supercars right?

well since speed racer says a super car is only rwd, what is a lamborghini???(awd) is it just a sports car??? cuz when someone says supercar, most people automatically think lambo or ferrari since they are the most well known supercars.

but it is still not a true sports car
Wow. Too many hormones floating around this thread, kinda knew that was going to be the case with the thread topic... Nobody will ever be "correct" cause there are too many people that feel they have to have 1 up on the next guy... It's hilarious
no i didn't mean that........it was a joke
, i wont get much love on my views about a gtr on a nissan website, thats ok. i already posted what cars i have, and i would never own the current gtr....now the new one coming out yes i would.
but it is still not a true sports car
jmo
but it is still not a true sports carwhat the heck are u talking about...the 240z was forward thinking???
they are in a league of their own??
splain yo self
The new one is going to be virtually identical to the current gtr except that it is a few hundred pounds lighter probably because it has two less seats. It will hardly affect performance. And this is enough to swing your vote back to the gtr?
If you're so concerned about weight, you should've bought a 350z base instead of a nismo, they're a few hundred pounds lighter than yours.
*edit* The 2nd Gen GTR's will have different trims. The one you're talking about is the GTR EVO SPEC (almost $100k), top of the line GTR with 530 hp. No backseats + more CF parts = 220 lbs less. The V-Spec will be delayed, and the base GTR will be a little bit cheaper < $60k. I stand corrected. However, I still do not agree that it is less of a sportscar than the z.

i thought nissan was going to use some carbon fibre parts to help lose weight????? they are going to free up a couple hundred pounds by removing a back seat?
