Default one of those days...

ever have those days? where everything seems to go wrong. well my day was good up untill the time i went to go to work this afternoon. it's been raining all day here in eastern NC so the roads are wet. im just chillin' doing my own thing about 50-55 mph when a red mustang pulls off of a side road right in front of me. when i swerve into the left lane to avoid him i must have hit some water because i oversteered and "drifted" (it was not cool, glorious, smooth, or fun.) into the turn lane. I ended up so steep that by turning into the turn, i had turned my wheel all the way left. but i came back across my side of the road in front of this mustang, hit the curb, went between a mailbox and a light pole to end up in a church parking lot... the only damage i can see is my right front tire came off of the rim, my left front tire got a gash in the sidewall, and i dropped my left front splash guard.
I'm glad I landed where i did and not in some ditch. someone had their hand on me today...

At least you ended up in a church parking lot. That way, if you'd died, they could have done the funeral right there. J/K
Your alignment is probably toast too. Glad you're OK.

Yeah when I first got the car a few years ago, I lost it in the rain too. Ran through a ditch, two blown tires and lesson learned. "Do NOT overcompensate!" Glad you're ok though.

Which is why i expect every car that i see to cut me off.

Just goes to show you that in whatever situation no matter how good of a driver you are (or think you are [not referring to the OP just stating the fact]) getting into an accident is out of your hands.

I drive my Z in the rain like I would drive it in the snow. No jerky movements/lane changes, sudden, hard braking or sharp cornering. It's been 7 years now, and there is no way to count the number of threads like these, so better safe than sorry. Everyone, be careful out there this winter.

Oh man that sux. I'ts pouring here in NJ as well, and yesterday i had to take a customers Sentra Spev V for a drive cycle and i was doing between 50 and 60 to reset CEL monitors when this chic pulls onto the highway and must not have seen the pickup truck that rears her making her swerve right into the divider about 30 feet in front of me.. I had to down shift it to 3rd to slow down in time and when she bounced off the divider there was just enough room for me to gun it past and i was in the clear. Looking back everyone else stopped but i just took a U and went back to work. Would of sucked if it was just a lil more time i would of been hit in a damn customers car no less.
