Coming from a guy who doesn't know how to measure to see what size spacer he wants, and bumps old threads to put in his 2 cents about 3" intercooler piping "custom" intakes.

Can this thread finally be locked? I've had the car for almost 3 years now and have put over 30k miles on it. I've yet to get into an accident with it. I have done multiple mods to it, everything which has been done on my own with advice that I have learned from this forum. So now that I'm 18 and have had to read 3 years of posts in this thread can it finally be locked? I think I've paid my dues.

nice man...way to put up with the BS!

Some guys are retards to quickly jump on bandwagon flame threads! I think you can lock this thread yourself if I'm not mistaken. PM a moderator to lock the thread if you can't.

I think the best mod ever is a shift ****; atleast for pricing concerns! You buy one ****, and then you have it for life! I just picked up the Flossy **** from some small company out in SoCal... love it so far, it's called Grip Tape

Default Holy ****!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!

Marcus I commend you on the way you handled yourself and the amount of fecal matter you took and still hung around.... Jeez the first few comments in this thread were funny. The ripped in half Z made me lol, and your response was even funnier!

People judge too much on age. My life and heart has been really damaged by by people and their stereotypes. My heart hurts to see how people went from teasing/razzing you (it was funny) to insulting and harassing you.

Nice choice on the car I got my Z August 01 2011 (so two months ago). It is a Pikes Peak White Pearl '08 Base with test pipes and, true dual, Greddy exaust (sounds sweet) has drop in K&N Filters and I take no credit I bought it like this.

A couple of things... I commend you on getting the car you want and eff anyone who does not like it, they own it but you can't? I'm 25 and just got my first Z car I have been dreaming of owning a z car since I was 15 so good for you.

I'm in Madison, Wisconsin if you are anywhere near here we should meet up with some other folks I know rollin' in some nice *** cars and go for a drive.

I hope your life is full of more kind hearted people going forward.

I feel kinda weird saying it but you deserve a hug after at that (no homo)

peace,
The Muffs

Find a deal on tints, shift **** used intake, paint for your handles or emblem if you like that, debadge or replace with a fairlady Z badge. Film or spray to black out your tail lights if you like that. theres a couple things but like others said for big things dont skimp out, definitly go with quality. I of course understand that not everyone can afford a 5000 dollar set of wheels

Wow, this thread is interesting. lol

Four years now. He's 19. How's the car coming along?

I got an (two) 88 & 89 Toyota Supra Turbo when I was 16, daily driven too even in the winter. I learn a lot about a RWD sports car when I had that one. Oh yes, everyone goes through a lesson learning curve when their young. Now, I've finally got my Z. Only a couple of times have I did spiritual driving in it on big open freeway roads over the weekends. Otherwise most of the time I drive like a grandma and make a lot of peoples wondering, "Why is that guy in that sporty looking nice car driving so slow?".

Young or not, got to learn and got to experience one way or another. Be safe & responsible is all that matters.

Got a honda civic when I turned 16, 240sx when I was 17 (loved the car), my first 350z when I was 20 *got into a horrible car accident, not my fault - other driver charged, and got my second 350z, I'm now 21.

Mental age and experience means alot. No one in their right mind would turn down a free car. I know this thread is largely irrelevant 4 years later, but the kid never said anything stupid and seemed mature enough.

Let this be a reminder that although a lot of us were young and reckless, not everyone is like that.

Well, I guess the inevitable has happened. On Thursday night I lost control of my Z in the rain on I-4 in Orlando. Wasn't doing anything stupid, had my cruise control on doing 71 MPH. Hit a puddle or something else in the middle lane and did a 360 degree spin through the fast lane into the median. Once in the median I slid about 150 feet, and into the guard rail. It was the without a doubt the scariest moment in my life, and I'm grateful to be alive at this point. I still don't really know what caused me to lose control other than me hitting a puddle or some other sort of debris. The car was declared a total loss earlier today, so this concludes my time as a 350z owner as I think it is time for a change into a car that is more practical. I would like to thank all the posters on here for posting all the very useful information. It has taught me more about the Z and cars in general than anything else.

I am glad you are okay, however you should not have been driving a z if you do not know cruise control in the rain can cause hydroplanning.

Your tires slip in the puddle, cruise control think you've lost speed so increase rpm to compensate, you regain traction, car pulls, vdc kicks in and locks up tires, you stomp on brakes like a mad man which causes abs to lock up your brakes and then you slide uncontrollably.

Sorry to hear this happened, do not use cruise control EVER in the rain, snow, dirt roads.
