Well it is not like he is going to give it up now so the argument is pointless. I am just saying he is probably going to have financial problems later.

All I know is even if I was a millionaire I would not buy my kids a car. If I did it would be something like a torus or a good 4x drive truck for the crappy weather we get. Surely not a sports car.

Damn dude where do you live? I still don't get why you say I'm going to have financial problems. I would think I'm going to be better of financially, I don't have to pay a car payment or insurance, so that just gives me money to save or put into the car or whatever. And It's not like it is a 50k car, it was 10 thousand, it's not that expensive.

Well my .02 on the subject is there is nothing wrong with the kid. If my parents were stupid enough to buy me a 300ZX TT when I was 15, pay the insurance they will inevitably use, I wouldnt have declined either. I may have called CPS and had my parents drug tested but definitely not declined. The parents are absolutely insane, have no clue about reality and either think more with their asses then their hearts and heads. What parent in their right mind would give a CHILD, who cant even legally drive a vehicle yet, a 300HP Sports Car as first vehicle? Oh....I got it. They must have ten million dollar life insurance policy on you.

Easy son, you arent even eligible to have an official job, lets not decide yet if 10 grand is or isnt expansive. When you grow up, YOU plop down 10 large, let me know if its a lot of money.

Well technically he has a point - 10k is not really much and you're looking at payments that are about 200 a month and he's not paying for it so he can save the money -- idk this forum is getting kind of boring - I mean if he can't legally drive yet then it's not like his parents would let him drive by himself - which means that he can't wrap the car around a pole or something - that is...if his parents don't let him drive the car by himself. Personally I hope for the best but I know at that age - having wrapped a car around a pole myself - it's gonna happen and it's because of the lack of experience. I'm not ragging on you kid because I know that all of us at one point or another have had an accident and it happens even to the best drivers so all I can say is be careful and treat the car right - and it'll treat you right.

You in Southlake too? I drive past Carroll Senior High every morning - in the parking lot is a new Vette, various BMW's, Infiniti's, Land Rovers, etc, etc. A $10k car is not considered expensive in many areas...

Although I wish the guy w/the Lamborghini (NOT in high school) would have picked a different color than Lime Green....

Just save up for a system, or else the antenna won't be needed.

So are your parents planning on paying for your insurance and payment until you are 25? I am also going to guess they are going to let you live with them for free.

Get an Acura RDX antenna for yur Z. Only $10 bucks at an Acura dealership and is a better fit than the S2K antenna. Best mod under 100 bucks for sure.

Actually, you can go wrong with Limo tint. Not only can it get you a ticket in many places, it is frankly unsafe for night driving. Unless you live in a place that has intense sun 360 days/year, anything darker than 35% is not a good idea.

My suggestions would be S2k antennae, reasonable window tint, or a filter change.

I resemble that remark....

Don't let the age thing get to you. Unfortunately, kids are assumed to be immature on this board until they demonstrate otherwise. It sucks, but as was mentioned, the guys that have been around here a long time (I'm not one of them as I'm relatively new here myself) have seen lots of kids come and go, many of them wrecking their Zs in the process.
