So after a 12 hour work day I get home and try to roll the window up on the Drivers side and bam! nothing. I'm like " What the HELL" had the car scence January. So I run down to the Dealership and you know the Service Dept is closed, so I catch a Sales Rep. He makes a call out on his little walkie talkie. Luckly the Service manager was still there...yeahh!!. Well they give me a loaner...A piece of crap sentra, Shoot me now please...

I call them today they said theres a backorder on power window motors for the Z. Well he said maybe the end of the week or the beginning of next week. Just wondering if anyone else is waiting arrrgghhh!!!

 

i feel for you man. no problem with my z, but until recently, we had a 2000 mercedes ml 320. it had all types of electrical problems... one being that the drivers window quit. apparently it was a very common problem and there was a nationwide shortage of the part. we had to wait 1 MONTH for the part to come in.

our service rep was beginning to explain to us the "chopstick" method to roll down the windows. we told him never mind, and that we would just open the door in the meantime.

got rid of the ml and got a 2004 rx 330. a much, much better car imo.

If it's only going to be a few days like you say, it doesn't really sound like a backorder. Sounds more like the dealer just didn't have it in his inventory and they are getting it from the nearest Nissan distribution center.

 

i waited ~1.5 weeks for my window motor part to come in.
