Default People with the Aerodynamics Pkg... need responses

Ok, I am getting my Aero Package added by the dealer. I recently saw two identical z's at my dealer. One spoiler was poorly mounted and was overlapping the rear nissan emblem! The other was about a thumb's width off the emblem. (3/4 of an inch) My question to you all is, how far away is your spoiler from the rear emblem of your car? Thank you...

After comparing to a ruler, 1/4" seems like a very small gap. I am going for 1/2" between the emblem and the spoiler. Looks best IMO. Thank you all for the help!

I don't think that would be much of factor.

Furthermore, I don't see how the spoilers were in different locations unless it was simply held by the double stick tape. I'm guessing in the dealer add on option, some cheapy dealers may use that method since the tape is so durable. If you take off the panel, there are 2 holes in the double layer metal - this is where it should be drilled.

the holes are drilled for the install, if they drilled wrong, then its always gonna be wrong.

so yes its sposed to be more than taped, but that doesnt mean they cant drill the holes in the wrong place.

the kit comes with a template to attach to the rear of the car with precise reference points.
Installed one on a friend's Z (mine had it). Just make sure to send them out for coffee before you start drilling!!!!!

I don't understand what you mean. I understand the template part, but send who out before who starts drilling? I will be the one receiving the car, and the dealer will be the one doing the drilling!

I think you want to be somewhere else when someone takes a drill to your hatch.

I think thats what he's saying.

i think it looks just fine without a spoiler. the rear molding holds a nice shape by itself. personally, i think the spoiler, (if you can even call it that, its more just a lip) kind of ... iduno... disrupts the flow of the back of the car. but maybe thats just me.

Thank you for your opinion, but no offense, the reason I am getting the spoiler is because I like it. If I knew it was going to be perfect then I would get it put on in a heartbeat. The more I think about it the more I don't want to get it put on. The more I don't want it on, the more I am realizing how much better I think the car looks with it. I might just let them do it and tell them some guidelines. What should the guidelines be? 1/4" to 1/2" off the emblem NO LESS OR GREATER! How should I tell them to make sure the spoiler is not crooked?
