I IMed him again and told him that if it wasn't him or if something happened, then he needs to come on here and clear it up really fast b/c if not he's going to go down hard. He's always seemed like a good guy to me. Maybe someone DID hack his account, who knows.

shouldnt the mods be able to find the IP address during the times he was logged on to send the pm's? if they match the IP he normally uses then the whole hacked into the account thing should be bogus.

The problem right now is that im not sure it is the actual user, or somebody else hacked his account and tried to fraud over the forum. However, I am just very very disappointed and sad on my $2300 getting locked and in the process of further investigation.

wow i can't believed he pulled this bs off . he never had any sf challenge . he did had the le37 but he traded it in with his Z for the lotus , he was saying that the saleman gave him 3k for the wheels that's why he bought the lotus . i hope he give you your money back man , his fiance is on the forums as well her sn is elyselikedamn something like that.

Maybe I missed it, but if you haven't already, call Paypal. Filing a claim is good, but speaking to a representative might help to speed things along.

Seriously I doubt he got hacked. People who do that stuff don't bother using hacked accounts to sell stuff, they hack people's info to buy stuff (get in, get out quick). They don't have time to hack people's accounts to start talking to people, haggling back and forth, recieve funds, then figure out a way to get those funds (which go to original users bank accounts). Sounds like with the whole new car deal, he's probably figuring he'll never touch this community again so he doesn't care about his rep no more and decided to just burn all his bridges on the way out...
my friend just paid for his turbo kit, this is not good, he'll chime in and post the details of the transaction in a bit. the kit was supposed to arrive today and didn't, and as the OP stated, the phone number is no longer active. can't believe someone with so many posts turns around and does this.
