oh yeah, just looking through japanese web pages, it seems they are substituting US spec air funnels for the intake for their own, apparently theirs is smaller! Look near the bottom.

Very interesting. I've got the Mines filter duct on order which is basically a bigger version of the standard but now I'm wondering if they're just selling the US one under their own name.

Either way another piece of the puzzle as to why the US cars have more power.

 

oh yeah, the 2nd link with the japanese only is much quicker, and you can still read the names of the exhaust systems.

every once in a while when I am bored, I go to Yahoo Japan and type in Fairlady Z33. Then when I find something interesting looking, I run it through the alta vista babelfish translator to see what it is.
I think its pretty neat that some of the shops over where you are sell u.s. spec parts, like the '350Z' badge and 'Infiniti' Logo's, and even our orange sidemarkers!
