My Parking Lights are Out!
Hey everyone,
So I installed a new radio and the other night I realized that
the parking lights are out! Front and back....
Everything else works fine and I have checked ALL fuses!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mike

Yes. I had the same issue on my first Z some time ago. During the install, you may have grounded something by accident. Go to the fuse box behind the battery..you have to disassemble the top cowel (it's in two pieces..so just take out the half where the battery is. There is a forum somewhere here where I took pictures of all this.
Also, make sure your radio illuminates at night after you plug in the right fuse.

Thanks for the heads up Mike,
Actually I replaced the factory radio and got no
illumination.
Do you by any chance know exactly what thread
that was with the pics?
I did a quick search but nothing.
Thanks
Mike

Try putting the stock radio back in and see if you have illumination when you turn on your lights. If you don't, then you fried the computer guage cluster (the one above the steering wheel) -- it took a while for them to discover this in my car....but the fix was getting a new guage cluster.
It turns out that one of the wires is ground when the lights are off and non-grounded when the lights are on (really wierd)...but that confused my installer...as he tested and assumed it was ground...while installing -- best thing, use or make your own ground.
First I suggest replacing the fuse behind the battery to get your brake lights back on (there are some pictures on the second post). Then, if you don't have illuimation...in the radio..try the stock radio. If the stock radio is not illuminated, then you have the same issue I had.
(I just noticed the pictures were external links, but I can't find them now)...
