Default Able to bring Euro version to the states?

I am a service member overseas and have been lusting after a Z since they came out last year. But due to TDY situation, I have not been able till now to actually purchase one. But I am unable to get one shipped from the states. I do have a local dealership that I could purchase from but it will be Euro specs.

So what is the difference? Anyone know? And what, if anything, will need to be done to it to bring the Euro spec to the states legally?

Thanks for your advice and help.

the differnce is probably wheel on the left or right side...

probably some emissions differences too...

my guess is you would be best getting one directly from japan?

already being over seas and all...

I think the Euro version of the Z is the same spec as the Japanese version putting out 280ps.

My problem is that I cant get a one shipped to me. I would have to purchase from a German dealer. I am just affraid of having to spend 5k on emission changes to make it US legal.

If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks.

Actually I believe the new Euro emissions are basically Cali strict here in the states. Just remember that is what basically gimped RX-8. You should be fine buying a Euro model, only real problem I would see with that is all the big numbers would be in Km/H

There are too many differences to list , horsepower , electric side mirrors , wheel and option packages, colors etc . If you want to know what they are , go to 350zuk.com and you can get all your answers . Good luck !

PS Ask for Veilside . He's the man !
