Default Rutgers Police Gives Me "tint" Ticket

most of you might not know how much bad luck ive had with this car so far (dont get me wrong...i love it to death but its just bad luck for me)

anyway...started rutgers college this year (seen a couple of Z's anyone from here??)

anyhow..im on the way to go buy some books (which is enough money in itself), when i see flashing lights behind me

i pull over in already congested traffic and i think to myself "what the hell did i do"

so the cop comes to the window and says that my windows are dark as night...then he proceeds to tell me that he wasnt able to tell if i was a male caucasion or anything for that matter

THE STORY GETS BETTER

so he gives me a ticket for the tints (40 bux i think) and i told him the tints were done so nicely and that its gonna kill me to tajke them off (of course im not )...so he tells me i have a really mean looking car...so i thank him

but then as he is walkin away from the car he comes back and asks me to turn on my turning signal

why does he do this (cause they are smoked !!) back and front turn signals are also "dark as night"

but then i told him that the front ambers arnt functional anyway...

but he couldve nailed me for the back ones (i think)

but anyway..what a goddamn moron...he gives me the gayest "pullover" ticket ever..and then tries to put icing on th cake and then fails!

Your sig says 20% tint. What's the legal limit in NY? If you can prove you only have 20% tint, you can give him a nice can of STFU.

I think I saw you on Rt. 18 earlier this week, I was turning going South Bound. It's a college cop, do you really have to pay the ticket?

I know I didn't.

But then again I was friends with them later in college years, so maybe they let me graduate even though I owed them money.

i passed through the brunswick rutgers the other night with my friend but i was only followed once but none of the cops bothered me. I have 35% tint on my windows. There not to dark but at night you can't see in.

I actually had the honor of being taken in for questioning and fingerprinted by the Rutgers PD during my four years there...nothing ever came of it though 'cause I was innocent.

These guys took themselves so seriously it was funny...they did everything but put us under bright lights. We always thought, whaddya gonna do...lock me in the library?

At my school, the city police listens in on the campus police freq so when ever something remotely serious happens, both cops shows up.

So all campus police have to do is tell the student to cooperate or else you're going with them.

I went to Rutgers, graduated two years ago, and I can tell you those Rutgers Police can really suck. They will give you a ticket for ANYTHING!

By the way, ENJOY COLLEGE! It goes so damn fast. Rutgers N.B. was a great college to go to... Man, what I would do for a Fat Darrell right now.

I have 20% all around too, and it's not legal. I've been told they can't give you a ticket unless they can prove it's not the legal tint. Which requires a special light meter that tells how much light gets thru. The legal limit in my state is 35% and at night you couldn't tell the difference between 35% and 5%.

However, I was reading the most recent issue of Sport Compact Tuner and they had an article on what to do when you get pulled over. And one of the first things they tell you to do is put your drivers and passengers windows all the way down. I guess if they can't see the windows they can't say they are too dark lol.

actually i have NJ plates so i guess i have to follow the NJ rules ( i have a nj lisence too)

anyway...ive been driving on 18 a lot lately so its possible that you saw me

ive seen another silverstone and a cs

ive alos seen a SB but that was on teh turnpike

and as for the guy that said i have a flashy car..i dont think the car looks any different for a 18y/o than for anyone else

especially if you cant see through my windows

anyway...im not cocky..or stuck up..im privelaged ...and although my dad got me teh car (he had a Z when he was a kid so he was really into it)

i spend aaaaallll my own money when i want to do something with it

its my passion..i tell my dad its better than smoking or drinking (not that i dont )

but anyhow...th etotal is at about $5k for all the stuff done
and it was all of my hard earned money

...on another note...

the ticket actaully looks like a NJ ticket...but are u guys saying that only rutgers police know about it

haha

NO PAY!
