Thanks for all the advice......I just needed some reassurance. The Z windows are quite a bit different than my 4 door A6.
If all goes well, I will be going to pick up my 08 PPW touring Z tomorrow.

when i first purchased my Z, i was scared **** driving off the lot...couldnt see my blind spot properly...so he whole time i just stayed in one lane, well most of the drive...I almost clipped couple of cars a few times...but eventually like everyone on this thread has explained...you get use to the little window and the mirrors...you have to adjust the mirrors accordingly.

With a spot mirror you don't need to look or worry if something is in your blind spot. if it is you'll see it in the spot mirror. Btw, I have the small rectangular spot mirror, not the round one.

I had to adjust my mirror to aim ways out to the side to cover the car to the side of me. If you adjust the mirrors where you see the edge of your car, then the blind spot is to the right of you, and its especially hard at night where you can't see ****...

This may work for the normal blind spot, but then you don't see what is behind the blind spot.....like a car coming up fast in the next lane or a pole when backing up. I still say spot mirros are the way to go.
