I thought I was the only one. It only did it once so I never looked into it

 

Well, nothing really. When I was shopping for a Z, I didn't care about the model or what I had on it. I didn't expect to buy a base model with bells and whistles on it already. Someone changed the rims, the radio, added bluetooth in it, they added an AEM cold air intake, Borla cat back exhaust, also painted the grille and brake calipers orange, gauges were changed to a deep blue, the wing was added and there is also a sub behind the drivers seat.
Buuuut they took the amp out and just the wiring is nice and neat in the other storage compartment. My only gripe is that I wished they left the amp in there cuz I have buy a new one, to get the sub to work and will sound much much better.

 

The way water and windshield wiper fluid sprays/drips into cabin with Windows down.

 

that is not limited to just Z's. it happens on alot of cars

 

Thought it was going to be a chick magnet but turns out to be a dick magnet...

 

same thing with corvettes....more guys notice it than girls

The 5 to 6 shift grinds sometimes,
The Bose ss is garbage
But my biggest gripe is the weight, Shes a big girl

 

My biggest issue is the car didn't come from the factory with forced induction. I've owned the z for ten plus years and 140k+ miles of daily driving the car. I now have a '15 Evo gsr and with 5k worth of bolt ons I have a 420+whp car and its night and day in terms of power. I never could justify the costs of buying a turbo kit , labor, plus motor build and pray the car doesn't blow up. I still love the z platform but I do regret not picking a Evo 9 at the time especially looking at the resale value of them today.

 

I hate how the handbrake won't even slow the car, let alone lock up the rear tires. Also the lack of acceleration.

Notchiness of the 6 speed. Quick shifts get literally blocked, particularly from 1st to 2nd gear.

 

you have oem shifter or a short throw one?

 

Mine occasionally does this if I'm not paying attention and trying to quick shift. It's rare and only does it when driving hard, but it ONLY started after I put the Motul gear oil in there. Do any kind of fluid changes lately? If not, maybe it's time?..

 

If i had to pick one thing, i'd say the doors, can't tell you how many times they've swung closed and smacked me while i was in the middle of putting something in or taking something out of the Z.

with the weather being cold they don't work. IDK if its the gasses don't get enough pressure but they do not like the cold

 

Window moter.

 

The strut in the middle of the truck makes it much harder to fit people in there.
