What do you hate most about your 350z?

I've glossed thru this thread a few times over the years but this morning saw it and read back over about 10 pages. I took some time to think about what I hate or don't like about my Z and came up with....nothing...not one thing. I bought the car new in 2005 and 12 years later I am just as excited about owning it as I was then. It still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Like Mic said on the previous page....right out of the box this car for the money is an incredible value....little things can be added to make it better and anything that annoys you can generally be fixed. So no hate for my Z at all...and I'm not even a glass half full guy either. ha ha

so this popped up on my feed as a updated thread- so i figured- i might as well help the necros....
i don't really hate anything about my Z - however- during the upcoming few days- i have a feeling that i had a 2nd vehicle seeing how i am in tampa right now and facing some minor weather that is going to make going to work mandatory ...with the way the roads get normally during minor bad weather- i am sure that finding a clear path in this low riding vehicle is going to be challenging... anyone here got a lifted 4x4 i can borrow for a few days? i promise i wont go mud bugging (deliberately)- just a few days of short trips to and from work
oh- and i just thought of one thing i do hate about my Z...
so i was going through what sort of hell it is going to be at work trying to find a place to sleep in a building with no sleeping spaces and about 75 people wandering around "participating" in the whole hurricane experience... when i thought- damn- it sure would be nice if i could go out to my car and sleep in it....so my official reason for hating my car is.... impossible to lay the seat all the way back .

My first real sports car, first car with all black interior, first with leather. The driver window is broke so maybe its just because I can't get decent ventilation but damn does it get warm in there if I don't turn on the ac.
Also, is it standard for the ac to turn on by default? Because that seems weird.

Joey-
Stay safe my friend!
tmdz- yes, a/c by default. Seems odd to me also that it doesn't remember the last setting.

But ya, don't know why having the AC come on when you turn on the fan is such a big deal. You're turning on the fan for one of three reasons: to cool off, to defrost or to warm up the interior of the car. Two of those use the AC to function correctly. Majority engineering rule.

I definitely don't HATE anything on this car, but of course I do have a few little gripes:
- paint seems thin, chips easily
- side windows leak
- who the hell engineered that crazy dipstick? Ok, I do actually HATE the dipstick
- blind spots
- would be nice to have more power/torque I plan to install the upgraded plenum and spacer someday. So we'll see what effect this has.

You're driving the wrong car.... you need a Tesla. Remembers ALL, including something called "self-preservation mode".... it reminds you about your wife's birthday. You think I'm kidding?

I acquired a salvaged and rebuilt '08. With the cost of purchase and all modest maintenance and cosmetics so far. I have only +/- $12K into it. It's a pleasant and reliable daily driver. If I should subsequently add in almost $30 or $40K in upgrades aimed at performance and handling... so that I have spent closer to what they have, I'd likely walk past most of them at half throttle.
Dollar for dollar, it's an excellent platform.

I purchased a brand new 2003 350z fourteen years ago. I love the car.
The car has two faults:
1. The dipstick is a joke. It’s unnecessarily difficult to replace and read.
2. There is way too much road noise coming through the rear wheel-wells and rear floor.

My biggest gripe is the doors don't stay open, but I'm now conditioned to put my foot out to prevent ankle injuries. No worries!

You know what I hate about my350Z?
How long this negative thread keeps going on. Laff.... Geddit? Geddit?
Oh, my car? Nothing hated about it. I love my car. It can do no wrong. Is it a perfect car? No, of course not. But it's all I need and I treat it good, it treats me equally good, sometimes better.

pulled 36+ hours straight at work- tired as hell- but-
me and everyone i know in the area pulled thru with nothing more than minor issues like bent gutters, fallen branches, and loss of power/phone/water...
an army of pole climbers doing what they can to restore power-but as bad as that storm was till it petered out- i don't think many sane folks are complaining too loudly about their loss of modern conveniences..
car made it thru the window/rain/falling/flying debris w/o any problems.
now- another 5 days of work then i can really catch up on sleep.
and now- that the storm is over-i wonder if any one else knows the tip like i learned when i lived on okinawa (typhoon alley) - about taping the edges of the windows on our cars (or cars with frameless doors...) - to keep out wind driven water as the windows bounce around in the wind...
