I'll let him post the details but I CONFIRM that at my local PD there is no longer a PPW 350Z on volks but instead a new 370z same color - the wheels....

I hope he'll let me take those stockers off his hands since he will be throwin his volks back on some time soon....

Let me drive your car.

I may crash it, but don't worry... I'll apologize to set things right.

Sounds to me like the dealership got off pretty easy. They will likely do a minimal-cost job on repairing your old 350 and re-sell it to someone. You got a pretty good deal on the 370, but it's not THAT good. I guess if both parties are happy, that's good. Congrats on the new car ;]

If I let you drive my car and you drove it like a dickwad and wrecked it,we'd have something to fight over.If you drove my car and inoocently got cuaght up in a mnor collision like the OPs car was,are you going to buy me a body kit or even a new 370 ?

All I'd require is an apology and everything would be fine.

Huh? They gave him a 370Z, look a couple of posts above..
They didn't give him one.He bought it.I am questioning the phantom car stating by itself and driving away by itself.Doesn't anyone else find this a bit ODD??

If you are a dealer, and my car was damaged while in your care... I'd be sure to have my car restored [with your money] to the condition it was prior to bringing it in.

wouldn't be my money. It would be the insurance companies money.I handle 70 cars a day thru my service dept. All in tight confines and at the mercy of 30 some odd employees and at the mercy of others who use the parking lot.Yup,definitly things happen due to the law of averages. The majority of people are upset but ultimately fine if damage happpens and I am truly apologetic. We do everything possilbe to make it painless as we can.But when some idiot starts demanding a new car or thinks we should restore the POS or starts jerking us around just to be tough, well,i don't give them the time of day.

Wow. Remind me to avoid that place.

I expect a dealer to go out of his way to make things right. If I got that BS "Sorry, stuff happens" attitude he's putting out there, I'd probably be facing a lawsuit for putting his head through a window.

Of course we go out of our way to make things right but we don't open the parts dept doors for a free for all or give away new cars.If your car got clipped by someone in my parking lot or at the mall parking lot, there is no difference.THATS WHY YOU BUY INSURANCE.If we damage it,and lets be reaslistic.i'm not talking totaling a car,I'm talking about incidents like the OP stated here to begin with,WTF makes you think we should just give you a new car,or hundreds of dollars worth of what ever.Hell,if someone runs into you on the street, you don't have any more rights other than your insurance coverage. Most normal people are happy enought to get the car back repaired properly, with an apology for the inconvieneince and life goes on.I have never lost a customer when handled politely and promply.I have "tossed a few thru the door" for being totally unreasonable, like we just killed their firstborn.
