Default will this mess up my spedo?

Hey guys. I am awaiting my arrival of my Touring Z and I bought some Touring 18" wheels and tires this past weekend. (my car will come with 17s on which I will put winter tires).

Anyway, I noticed yesterday that all 4 tires are the same size: 245/45R18. Is this bad? Will this change settings in my car?

Also my other question is are the wheels the same size? Does it matter if I put the rear wheels onto the front? The reason I'm asking is that the front tires are new and the rears have a few thousand miles on them so I was thinking I should put the new ones in the rear so they would wear at the same time and I was hoping to not take tires off if I didn't have to

Thanks in advance for any advice.

no

the diameter is roughly same size, which is what's important.

Actually the G35C 18 inch rims run 225 fronts and 245 rears.

it sounds like you just got 4 rear tires. they are just wider

hey some people put 275 on there so no big deal
automatic touring are 17s

http://www.nissannews.com/nissan/200.../pricing.shtml

With autos the wheels widths are 225/235 and manuals are 225/245

http://www.nissannews.com/nissan/200...0z/specs.shtml

But what is important is the tire diameter and it's pretty similar between the stock tire and the tires you're getting

so do you think it's a good idea to put the rear wheels on the front? The rear tires have a few thousand miles on it and the fronts are new.

I just noticed it says that the front wheels are 18"x7.5" and the rears are 18"x8". Would it be unsafe to swap them?

mc350z:

the link that 350zroadster posted:

http://www.nissannews.com/nissan/200...0z/specs.shtml

Scroll down to the wheels and tires section. It says:
Aluminum-alloy (6-spoke) FR 18"x7.5" RR: 18"x8"

im almost positive that that they are all 18x8 were talking about the touring wheels right?? i just looked in the book to confirm this
so you should be good to go!

also i just got brand new front tires due to the warranty feathering issue my rear ones have 7K on them so no problem with that. also you can plan on replacing the rear ones anyway
now what book are you talking about? consumer report?

did it list wheel sizes from other trims and transmission setup? Or just a general size?

I just looked at the wheels themselves. Two are labeled "Rear" and two are labeled "Front" but both say "18x8" on them. So I'm guessing it will be ok to put the rears on the front.

Where are the tire pressure sensors? are those the little sticky things inside the wheel?

interesting, so maybe it's the nissannews.com website that's wrong.

Pressure sensor is sandwiched between the wheel and tube/wheel.

Here's an interesting thread on wheel diameter. Different school of thought. Nissan recommends you maintain between .5 and .75 inch front to rear. Check it out.
