Default Hate My Job...but LOVE MY Z!!

I hate my job. worst job for IT majors. PC helpdesk is a b***!
The only thing that makes me go to work is my 45 minute drive on highway. Sweeeet, sweet joy. Anybody that ever calls a computer help desk, try to think about what you are asking before calling. If I could do some of the things these foos ask me to do, I wouldn't be working at the helpdesk. I don't have the power to turn back time.

Anybody hate their job? and those who do love their job, hook a brother up!!

now that I wouldn't mind. Lets see.. money+college area+all girls coming to you for help+350Z= sweetness.

All i have to look at are old and fat people. Can you believe I had a lady that wanted Emergency help to install a monitor because she was wearing a nylon dress and didn't want to bend down.

That sucks man. I love my job. I sell from Bang & Olufsen and since we don't budge on prices my relationship is based on helping clients instead of price wars. My brother is a computer engineer for Motorola. Good money but crazy hours and layoffs all over the company. IT will pick up but for now even working behind the scenes can be as big a biatch as working at the help desk. If you like sales I would look into software salesman. My friend works as one and just bought herself a SWEET M5.

Try the army, then hard-labor Construction work. Those are two LOVELY fields. I'm an assistant manager in the company now, but I worked side-by-side with hard-working mexican immigrants for 3 years. It was worth it to see how HARD these guys really work for their families back home.

yeah, if it weren't for idiots..I would not have a job.

Destruction work sounds. Man I thought coming out with a IT degree would be sweet but ever since Bush came in...all downhill. Not saying clinton did anything good with all those corrupt CEOs making money off us employees hard earned dollar and now we're finding out about it. wel, its my fault..too many days partying and graduating 2 yrs late. haha...can't complain too much....most people who graduated in 02 are now waitering.

Exactly kbomb, my best friend graduated in '02 with a degree in Computer Engineering, since then he's now gotten a Masters and working on a PhD because no one is hiring anyone with less than 5 years of xp now. Our market really sucks at the moment.

I feel ya.... IT sucks, but don't worry... things will turn up. I know people with degrees that don't really know ish about IT and then people that don't have degrees that have great jobs (know their ish, buddy of mine from school just got hired at MS... still has yet to finish his degree). Just know your stuff and you will get employment, trust.

Me, want more pay and job is okay... rather be doing software programming, but those jobs are going by the wayside (companies outsourcing programming to other countries), so we'll see....

I'm in Investment Banking and business has slowed but we (Financial Advisors) are still making decent $.

Hate to say this but ...get an MBA. I did once I found out I wasn't making enough $ as an Architect. Got an MBA, then went into the Securiites Industry. Best move I ever made. Paid for my house (In San Francisco), paid for 2 NSX's, Lexus SC 400, 350Z and AMG Benz. (Not all at once mind you, over the last 10 years).

At 980 mi...almost. Tired of these foos speeding up in front of me and the slowing down. I hope they feel better that they get to beat a Z...for now.
