z vs salary
i know this is similar to another thread but i wanted to break it down in simpler terms. simple question...
is your (gross) salary more or less than three times the cost of your z?

With my wife and my salary, its about $70K a year. I am military, so I get a lot of freebie beneifts, hospital, free housing, ect.
I supported the Gulf war, and made enough $ on my deployment to put a big chunk down on my Z.
The only way I bought my Z was the wife's car was paid for and now I am back to payments again. Trying to double up on payments to get the Z paid off.

Not hurting either but my salary is just shy of my Z x 3. Still I feel fortunate to be where I am at the age of 21. I know that cars are the farthest thing from a wise business investment but I feel like I work so much and party so little for my age that it is a reward I just have to have.

life is so grand at 23 (I almost forgot that I turned 23 on Sunday, so I was about to put '22')
Im about to be 22. I hear ya. I don't want to be at the point where I cant enjoy a 2 seater and the attention it gets. Now I just have to fight the urge to buy new toys for my only kid...my Z.
and I have NEVER had 1 accident my fault!
THAT SUCKS MAN! Sorry about the insurance. I live in AZ but if you have any family in WI I would insure it there. AZ wants $4000 a year 
and Wisconsin quoted me at a whopping $800 per years. It might be worth looking into a WI investment property.

In the market for a Z right now. If I bought today, a $500 monthly payment would be about 1/4 my take home pay in a month.
But...when I graduate from my anesthesiology residency this coming June, I expect my monthly take home pay to increase slightly...to around $30000 - $35000/month.
So...I'm buying now.

Depends cckleung on how many times a month he is needed. I think a standard surgery invovling those guys runs about 1k just for his services. But also remember he's gotta pay medical malpractice and those premiums ain't cheap.
