worth $650 used?
http://www.quaife.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-...B-differential
I have a guy near me who used it about 10 events for drifting and about 5 events for autocross and is now selling his Z.
he is selling this to me used for $650 (american).
it sells for 640 pounds UK (that equats to about $1075 new).
anything i should think about before i buy this?
im using it strictly for autocross.
anything that could break/wear out/need maintenance.
anyone on this forum have this part or recommend another?
thanks all!

should be fine......hard to break the helical gears inside of it, if at all.....
if you can test drive the car with it before that would be about all you can do prior to removing it completely and seeing/inspecting it....
Are you swapping pumpkins or is he swapping in back his base diff internals?
sounds to me to be a good deal.....and for "strictly" autocross and daily driving, i would say go for it.........works well....

he is taking the pumpkin off, breaking it down and taking the LSD out, then putting his stock open diff back in.
im gunna remove my stock open diff and keep it just in case in my garage and install this LSD.
do you have one of these in your car?

well, the main good thing about the tear down and reinstall is that you can give the Quaiffe unit a good look over for any damage, but i would doubt it with a unit as robust as the quaiffe..

Installed it and it works like a charm.
i have never slid so much in my life at autocross.
i was dancing around the corners like a monkey wearing roller skates.
times droped quiet a bit too, with less tire smoke!
