Default Post your Gtech 0-60 time please?

I will be borrowing a friends Gtech tomorrow and would like to know what everyone else is running on here? I know magazines get in the 5.4-5.8 range. I will be happy to be in the high 5s. It will be cold here, so traction may be an issue. What should I launch at/shift at? Never gtechd my Z before. Have done other cars

PS: I did use search, but im just checking to see if anyone has recently timed theirs

Thanks.

I was getting between 5.3 and 5.9 on Gtech last year. I have not tried in a while.

This past weekend I was planning on matching times vs the track time slips and my G-Timer 2 at Import Wars. I havn't raced at the track since 4k miles and warm weather. I have 11k on it now, I got all the way to Import Wars, teched in and it rained for like 5 mins and they cancelled the entire event

Depends on pavement type and tire wear. Dump too high you get excessive spin and hop. Slip too high you get a burnt up clutch. Sometimes I dump between 2500 and 3000 and sometimes I slip between 3000 and 4000. Slip is faster if you are good enough. Dump is slower but very easy.

Gtech is awesome. Not trying to hijack, but I once got a 1.09 lateral G rating on my Type R with 205/50-15 Kumho V700 R compounds. I'd love to see my Z's 0-60 with a gtech. Please keep us updated!

I forgot one important thing: along with the 0-60 times, please say stock or be so kind as to list any and all mods. I see 4.5, but I don't see what mods helped you get that. Thanks.

Hmm, never heard slip used in that connotation before. Do you mean feathering out the clutch at 3k-4kRPMS? I'm going to hold the throttle at about 1500-2000 RPMS and feather out the clutch until I start moving. When it's almost fully disengaged I'm going to floor it.

By "dump" I assume you mean no feathering? Just popping the clutch at a high RPM?

Blue Liquid, I'll keep you posted no matter how bad the times are

Del350, not fair . I still got your number. I may be in newark this week looking at a tt. May give you a call if you're not busy. Gotta check out the z

I'm 100% stock. Was thinking about removing spare tire, but not going to.

is the new gteh computer really worth it? I dont like the idea of having a wire going from the plug in the back between the seats to the front window...

omg. 0-60 6.3 seconds I got some wheel spin in 1st. It's cold out here. Oh yea, what is everyones tire pressure at? I'm running like 38 psi on all 4s. Guessing this doesnt help.

THAT TIME IS EMBARASSING. Should I get the car dynoed instead? May be an easier way to gauge power

Who cares about the power if you can't put it to the ground? I would work on getting better at launching first, it only takes practice and it's fun.

Me either, that's why I added an additional 12VDC power outlet on the passenger side, below the (because there is no other word for it) cup holder.

The install took about an hour, removing the panel (first the windlace, kick panel and cup holder) mounting the power plug ($7 from Radio Junk) and finding appropriate power source to tap into (vent fan motor assembly.)

I can post a pic later if anyone's interested.

I hear that one has been added at this same location in '04. Is this correct?
