I have my G-Timer 2 on the window all the time. I just have the cord run straight down the dashboard, then it hooks on the passanger seat slide adjustment ****/stick thingy and then it runs back out of sight between the passanger seat and the center console and up to the 12v.. Works perfectly with no fuss.

The install took about an hour, removing the panel (first the windlace, kick panel and cup holder) mounting the power plug ($7 from Radio Junk) and finding appropriate power source to tap into (vent fan motor assembly.)

I can post a pic later if anyone's interested.

I hear that one has been added at this same location in '04. Is this correct?
Yeah... I was gonna say, Mine already got a Power Plug below the cup holder... But mines an 04 - didnt realize the 03 didnt have that.

5 flat. Gutted cats, K&N panel, UR pulley, Hyperground, G-Attack/ S tune bars, 255/40/17" F1 G2-D3s which make my final drive 3.7:1 since they are 4.65% shorter than stock wheel/tire diameters. Feathering at about 2.5Kand running to rev limiter in 2nd. Enthusiast with Traction Control off. G2 was used.

I will have to go look mine up again but if I remember correctly mine was 5.1. My 1/4 mile time was like 13.3 @112 MPH.

I have Borla dual, grounding kit, and Procharger.

HORRIBLE wheelspin on stock tires.

I weighed my Z at the local dump, and it was 3400 lbs with me (170lbs) and approximately 1/2 tank of gas.

When I get one of these G-tech dealys, I'll probably just put in 3400 lbs as the weight.

I have the GT2 and its a lot of fun. What numbers are you guys using for Cda, rolling resistance, etc. There are a ton of variables. I went with a lof the numbers the C5 vette uses. My car is stock and I got 5.2 0-60 14.01 1/4 (i am trying to remember).

My neighbor put it in his supercharged mustang gt. He had it dynoed about 15 minutes before we used the GT2. His car on the dyno was 346rwhp / 364lbft. We did a run of 13.01 and a 12.88 but he hit the brakes, so we didnt get a good top speed reading. It seems fairly accurate when we compared those times to other mustangs with similar gear.

D'oh.... Thanks !!

Question... do you know what 1 gallon of gasoline weighs ??@?@I am dealing in liters here in Japan and don't have access to determining this info.

Reason is -- depending on where the tank level is ... I can adjust the setting to get a more accurate reading...

thanks again ...

One more thing... just thought about... that I don't know...

What amount of gasoline is used when R&T or other car mags do their 0-60 mile or 1/4 mile tests ?

One cubic foot contains approximately 7.48 U.S. gallons. One U.S. gallon contains 3.785 liters.

Gasoline is about 42 lb/ft^3

So that is about 5.6 lb/gallon or 1.48 lb/liter.

I don't know how much gas they use when they are testing. I think they might have that info in the mag or online if you look up the testing procedures. I've read it somewhere, but I can't remember where.

What are you using for C5 drag coefficent numbers. I've seen a lot of variation posted (trade rags and internet) from .29 all the way to .35?

BTW, the current software in the G-Tech Pro Competition does not let you imput these variables, but I was talking to some G-Tech engineers at SEMA and they tell me that these and a lot of other software options are on the way.

Keep an eye on the web site. I've been waiting for the road race/Auto-X software for over a year now.

That's a bit low. Here are some fuel tables from Vermont Fuel that have very accurate fuel ratings including weight.

http://www.vermontfuel.com/server/energy_specs.html

I run 93 so I calculate fuel load at 6.5 lbs/gal. just to make it easy.
