My baby is a daily driver, and i drive it like i stole it. Not in traffic though. I tend to stay pretty calm when there are others around me

Idk why nobody else said it yet, but here's the answer to your situation:

Get a radar detector, they're cheap, ($400 for a foolproof one) and then feel FREE to drive fast without the fear of getting pulled over again.

It will always warn you way ahead of time if there is a cop in the area, then just take it down to speed limit.

I was in EXACTLY the situation you are in right now. Because I got a ticket the FIRST DAY I had the car it scared me from having fun with it.

Best detector to get (they're 100% legal) is the ESCORT 9500i. Watch this video and you'll be hooked.

I appreciate most of the input from the real suggestions. Let me clear up some stuff. I have exhaust work done to the car, tires, nothing major. Just because its an auto doesn't mean I don't like to go WOT... if anything WOT in an auto is lots of fun, especially since it will down shift as low as possible and keep hauling ***. I take it to redline plenty. My car sounds gorgeous, I guess since my recent unemployement I've been driving it like a grandma mostly. I don't need any unexpected problems coming up before I start my new job. I still love this car and motor and handling though, I just have been paranoid since I got my first ticket I guess. I plan to get a 370 next...touring with sports package in manual. Got another year to save up.

To be honest I was baked when I posted that and I guess needed to vent ...

Not sure where being a ***** comes in or any negativity though... weird. Think I'm just used to grasscity forum people. Everyones so happy over there lol.

Just floor it the entire way to wherever you go, and be sure to weave aggressively through traffic. And don't let those stop signs or red lights stop you either. That should put your Z to work.

Also, a radar detector will help you avoid tickets, but it won't help against all the tactics police use.

I would still recommend getting a good radar detector, (V1, 8500,9500, STi, 995 etc.) but it won't make you immune from tickes.

I went up North today and slapped the Bear on the Mountain. Hot Damn, the Z sure is good at scaring the bears away. Felt 2nd, 3rd, and 4ths power often, since nobody was around today. Even though redline sounds like booty, I love the sound of the VQ!

Take a road trip.
http://www.motorcycleroads.us/
This is a great web page to find roads near you that are great for aggressive driving.
However, please be safe. Your best bet is to go to a track or auto cross but if you use your brain twisties can be fun at safe speeds too.

I've never tried dawn driving yet, but I know if you go out at 1am on certain main roads, a lot of people will try to race you....if you're in your Z give them a head start and see if you can beat them, it's a lot of fun!

For some reason driving fast with somebody beside you who is driving fast is 100 times better than just driving fast. Plus you have the road to yourself, and you can drive as fast as you please with nobody to stop you.

But make sure you have your radar detector on, because you can't ever tell at night which car is good ol' Jonny Law!
