Default Do you install your own mods?

I'd really like to install the following:

Borla TD cat-back exhaust, Crawford plenum, and Nismo S-Tune (maybe). I have others in mind, but they're so simple to do there's no sense in asking whether or not you install them yourselves.

Do all of you install these mods yourselves, or do you have a mechanic you trust do them? I have limited resources, but I'd really like do the installations myself not to save labor costs, but to learn.

What I would LOVE is to find someone to help, provide pointers, etc., but I don't see that happening.

I have what I would consider a fair amount of knowledge, but I'm limited on the experience. I certainly don't want to mess up my Z.

What do all of you do?

try the regional forums, your supply some burgers and I bet you can find a few people that will come over and have fun, there was a great meet in atlanta a while ago where one guy installed an exhaust on his car.

Id probably do the exhuast and plenum.

but not the Stune, tho Id have to see the instructions to see just how hard it is. but having it on a lift might be somewhat required I donno.

I install anything I have the tools to do and if I can figure it out.

I do my own depending on the severity.

Exhaust, CAI, Grounding, Yep. n/p.

When cams come though, I'm letting someone do it.

Out of laziness, the only thing I installed myself was the grounding kit cause it took like 15 minutes. the other stuff was all put in at the dealer except the exhaust was built at a shop.
