Went down to the garage. Look at her for about 5 minutes. Did the usual walk around. Thought about what I could do to best serve her needs. Decided hydrodipped pieces weren't in her best interests. Just don't flow well with the interior and match the flat sheen look. Told her I loved her and went back upstairs.

Ordered some M3 matte black carbon fiber vinyl for the interior pieces. Hopefully see how that works this weekend. I'm so indecisive. Pissed I have to take the interior apart again though.

Ended up not working one mine, Pro_350Z came over to the house and we got most of the rear speaker shelf cut out of his car.

I'd like to see how those pieces came out looking inside the car. I have the 3M carbon fiber vinyl and it looks ok when you first put it on but I don't like it. It looks cheap.

I'm done. I'm ordering the stock center waterfall pieces and DONE WITH IT. lol, so much wasted money on experimenting. Yeah, I recently saw a 350z interior pic with the 3m vinyl. Looks like chit. Candy-Kane strips and cheap. I'll leave the door pieces hydrodipped because the stock rubber coating chips and scratches too much. I've already got a brand new stock piece around the shift ****, I will just need to order the cubby box and the gauge piece. I may have a $200 credit with ConceptZPerfromance so I may not have to drop too much to convert to stock.

I've tried almost everything to get rid of the scratch prone stock coating but everything else just looks too cheap.

So no photos of the hydro dipped pieces inside the car? Are you going to sell them on here?

LOL I might sell them to you if you want! Might. I don't know, like I said I am very OCD and indecisive. I just went home for lunch and sat inside the car thinking of what to do. The actual work is very good. I am very keen to the sheen flat look of stock though.

I will post some pictures here later today of all the work. I will probably keep the door and air vent pieces. They are OK and look really good. The only thing I'm not sure of is how much the gloss pieces match the flat pieces.

If I do sell, it is a very good item. I have all the center water fall pieces matched up along with the metra double-din frame also dipped for a receiver so it all comes together nice.

OK, Here you go. Crappy phone pictures.

Before I installed it:

After:

I painted the cubby latch with a flat vinyl paint. Matches the flat gauges and the stock flat parts.

Picture of how the car sits, pictures dont do it justice at all. Crappy phone anywho:

I think it looks great man. I can see where the center clashes though (the hazard button, stereo, guages etc. All flat sheen).

The door pieces though, keep those. Those definitely look good.

Z sits very nicely too

Honestly, I think it looks amazing! I will probably get mine dipped later this year if you don't sell me yours. Just let me know. If I were you though, I'd keep it. It looks great.

Nismo - If you don't like the extreme gloss, paint it with a matte clearcoat.

I've thought about it. I know Napa sells a premixed flat clearcoat, but not sure how that will effect the "depth" for a realistic CF look. It's not so much the gloss as it is the color. The dipped pieces are very dark black, the rest of the interior is more grayish.

Had a completely stock car since July 2010. Since then Ive changed the antenna, Injen CAI, Tint, Nismo exhaust, added stock wing. All recently in the past 4 months. Was well worth the time and money. As far as today, I gave my baby a shower.
