Finally bolted up my chargespeed sides yesterday. Also the other morning I hit a dead animal in the road the size of a small dog and cracked my front bumper. Gonna need some fiberglass work soon..I will get some proper pictures this weekend.
Might have to raise the car back up a little, wont clear a can on its side,
Did you keep the texture or did you sand it down? Can't tell from the pic.
I kept the texture. I dont like it flat like the interior window and door lock panel. I think it would look weird if it was flat and the rest of the dash was bumpy.
Just washed with dish soap, removed all oils and then blow dried it. Spray light coats from different angles. Did about 4 or 5 coats until the spray can ran out.

Your insurance may cover the repair with a deductable. Mine did, I hit a 100lb dead dog.
The carbon wrap pattern in general looks sort of candy canish.

That looks nice. I'm looking to do a suede project. I'd like some red/black Recaro seats as well. Just more $$$$$. Gf will kill me if I spend more money on car and not get a ring.
RE30s may be happening next week though. The deal is too good and probably won't come around again.

Oh i thought you were talking about the molding. I've seen yours and you have the shiny overlays dont you? I'm doing the vinyl wrap which is more of a subtle dry look. I love how it looks in all the pictures I have seen
I replaced the center with a new stock piece. The door pieces are still hydrodipped. It looks really good for just the door pieces. It's also really durable. The wrap on other builds started to peel after longer exposer to heat and sun.
Unless you know what you're doing it's hard AF. I've tried several times on the center console and could never get it. I may just paint it or hydro dip it.

+1
I say just get new parts and tread carefully as to not chip or scratch it. It cost more $$$ but it looks great. Only better option look wise I think it either a leather/vinyl wrap or suede wrap. Unless your spending money it'll just look cheap.
I've literally spent over $100 on that 3M carbon fiber wrap and came out with just my interior door handles wrapped. I should have just painted it or hydro dipped it. Oh well, I figured I would give it a try since everyone else seems so good at it. I could not get it at all.
