You could always just put the 350Z back on? I did mine recently and figured, well if this goes awry I'll just slap it back on and no one will know. Hehe. Or is it scratched in such a way that the original letters don't cover the damage?
Yeah, I think I went back out to polish it the day I was inspired by reading your post about removing the logo. Heh heh.
I probably could put the original lettering back on and have it hide the small scuff but what the heck, I had a gift card to use up on EBay (or was it Amazon?). Worst case, when I am tired of self loathing over wearing my hypocritical emblemage, I'll just yank it off and re-polish it. Laff!
I'm doing stuff to one of my other cars right now so won't be doing anything to my Z until my new suspension goodies are delivered.
I love these tires. One of the better 'mods' someone can do when picking up one of these cars.
I'd be scared to drive this car with it's factory 225/245 on some mickey mouse tires.

OK, truth is, I needed to throw some tires on quick to move the car out of my shop, so I ran up the block to the tire shop down the block and popped these on my Z33 Touring alloys so I could take the Z32 off the rack.
$249 for the set. Mounted and balanced.
And you know what? For what they were intended (daily driver, point A to B), they weren't bad. Nothing like my Mushylins or the present HTR-Z3s but hey, they fit the bill and when I sold that car, the new owner was pleased it had 18s on it! HAR!!!
Interesting timing on your post... I was just chastising myself because a grown man isn't supposed to get so excited receiving toys in the mail but I just opened the box and got all giddy.

the 17mm nut was easy to unbolt, including the cotter pins. The real work would be the 14mm bolts in b/w the front struts. They fought me the entire time of the extraction process from in front of or behind the spring. Compressing the spring with an additional jack helps. This is only if you install without removing the front struts.
Have fun picking up four SSR Viennas over in the states.
Viennas are actually quite common here, they pop up often on zilvia and lexus forums. RuinedZ had a clean set with proper specs on his car many years back before he decided to go Garage Mak.

Hey, there is a time and place for everything. A Z on cheap tires is better than a Z on no tires.
My dad is the type of guy who will mismatch three or four different tires from a used tire shop to save a couple bucks. But after a decade or so of tinkering with cars (I know, not very long- but long enough to realize) that you truly do get what you pay for. Most of the time shelling out the extra cash (especially for tires, brakes, -safety items) is worth it in the long run.
I'm just fortunate enough that mine came with the Pilot's on it. I would not have wanted to foot the bill on that one.
Ah, to stay on topic. I finally got my first detail of the interior done yesterday. The car came pretty clean, but I'm OCD so I had to break out the detailing brushes.

Lol. Well to be fair, the pedals are brand new. And no, I didn't take the steering wheel apart. The first time I noticed the RH trim piece sticking out is when I looked at that picture. Not sure why it's like that. But it sure does bother me now
It does button up behind the zSpeed shroud. There are only five screws. TBW also gives you a spacer to use in the center punch, too. Exact replacement for OEM plastic splash shield.
