There's plenty of cool things you can do with a tablet Pandora, Torque/Dashcommand, Web browser, GPS, saved music ect ect. I like my Z to look different then other Z's which is why I put time into doing different stuff. Who cares if there's a "head unit behind it that now has 0 purpose" it's purpose is there so I don't need a amp.

I think he means by keeping the HU he doesn't need a separate amp. Does look good, though, and my only concern would be software updates will eventually render any tablet obsolete in a few years, which CK_32 mentioned.
Installing a tablet may not be a wise decision since the technology is antiquated very quickly. The tablet you install today will be obsolete in just a few months (or even weeks).
The 350z has a perfect position for a screen, and a separate compartment for a “brain.” Your best plan is installing the screen and the processing unit as separate components.
