So it was rather cold today so I cleaned up this massively rusty piece... Might be good for some por 15... Might sandblast it... We will see, cleaned up better than I thought it would.
Also faced the fact that my calipers are fuŠked so I got me a sweet replica... Couldn't beet the price honestly.
Just wheels, fenders and engine now.. Not trying to hang and dangle my Boosted kit around everything in the way. Figured if its all out of the way I'll btch a lot less later.

I see you managed to raise the footrest from the Titanic's bar.

Sadly the one actually on my car doesn't look any better. Im playing with the idea of swapping the engine cradle front subframe and that under brace out at some point also... I have years of projects going on over here.
I'm sure I'll offend the car gods by saying this but I just don't find that car at all attractive.
I felt the same exact way. I was never a fan from the videos and pictures. All I ever liked was the active-aero....
Seeing it in person completely changed how I feel. It is not justified by pictures. It is a completely different car when you share the same space with it and can really gauge it's details and propotions.

That's cool. There have been a few cars that I liked way better in person.
I'm sure it's such a high tech, high performance car, but looks like it's from the "Jetsons". *I'd take the F12, one of the fastest all engine (V12) cars in the world and they are beautiful; there is one (all black) in my town that I've seen a couple of times.

Since that 330 GTS 2+2 that I could have bought for $10k (back in the '90s) have I ever desired owning a Ferrari. Not that I couldn't afford one back in the early dot.com days (laff, yeah, I was part of that gold rush), I just never felt the need to "validate myself" with ownership of one.
Beautiful cars though...
Segue.... I have absolutely no desire to own ANY NEW cars though. I hate being intruded upon when I drive, instead trusting my own abilities and instincts.
Case in point, just had a rental vehicle while my wife's car was being repaired (from the impact it took from my Shiro). The back-up cam feature is nice but I did NOT like being vibrated in the butt (seriously) when the vehicle proximity feature kicked on!! (You know, the "Hey dumshid, yer too close to...")
Likewise, automatic braking in emergencies... wake up alerts for when lane drifting... and so on..... great safety features I guess but...
have you not stepped outside lately? read the news? watched tv? listen to the radio?
intelligence is quickly becoming an endangered trait in humanity
(and i got proof- 30 years of 911 call taking- i can chart the steady decline with a base line from 1987....)
Hahahahahahaha! That's the problem, I AM tuned to all the media and it makes my point that all this new superfluous tech in cars obviously ain't helpin'! HAR!
OK, I'm not down on tech in general - built my career (and retirement) on it - but really, when I ask my wife (somewhat my junior) "Where did you hear that? " to some dumb news report and she responds "Facebook", I immediately question its validity and run to verify it on "real media sources".

Now get off my lawn, dagnabbit!
Lol. That's not an old timer characteristic. It's just the mark of someone smart enough to think before they act. I'm only 38 and I do the exact same thing.
And I completely agree about new cars being intrusive. Get off your smart phone and drive your damn car.
Finally. Call me crazy but part of the reason that I always wanted, and finally bought, a 350z is because the body lines on this car are some of the sexiest I've ever seen. I think it looks 10 times better than some of the high end sports cars on the market.
Made some pinch seem savers from some hockey pucks... Had a coupon at Olympia sport.
Also anyone know if these come with any brake pads? I need a set for the rear brakes and dont really want to spend $86 + shipping for what should be $5
