With a torque wrench very easy, even on stands. I had no rust issues though. The inner toe bolt is eccentric so I had to spin it just right to pass through easily. 15-20 min change out per side to new if no problems. Good luck!

 

Came across a set of G35 sport wheels..I'm happy with the outcome..needs moarr low now

 

Screwing around with the car last Friday and had the wheels off...while taking them off I had a wheel stud spinning in the hub. I managed to get the nut off (painfully) and checked the rest. Turn out the dumb a$$ previous owner changed all the front studs to a longer one - thing is they are the WRONG studs, the spline was too small so he tacked them on to hold them and the weld is failing...surprise

Long story short...I took the day off yesterday too install the new studs I ordered MONDAY that didn't come in on the promised delivery day. Had to cancell the alignment i had booked for today and NOW they can't do it till next week!
So, another week goes by before i get my new wheels and rubber on. And I miss the first of 4 AX I planned on.

I'm a patient man, but...

removed stock exhaust to install invidia gemini. had to cut off the studs from cat to y pipe. does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get them out of the cats flange?

 

why did you have to cut it?

I had to drill mine out after I cut them off. It was a fun weekend.

 

 

I installed an engine torque damper from ebay(collective eye roll.... now!).
Easy enough install and actually does improve shift response at higher rpm from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. Can't see why anyone would pay $300 for a stillen or weapon-R though.

Also removed the poly trans mount. Way too effing loud for my daily. Not worth it at all. Maybe I'll try a Megan rubber one next. I'd like to try a nismo rubber one but saw the price on CZP. Lol.

I read several forums and from my understanding the rev9 brand is the exact same one as the stillen. Did you notice any difference with yours installed.

 

seemed like the rear broke loose easier with it, you take out the rocking of the motor essentially transferring it to the drivetrain.. it kinda makes sense

but then again, it could have been my imagination

 

Ahh yes, the old "It's got a high durometer so it has to be good #becauseracecar." thing. Found that out way back in the street driven S30 days.

It was an extremely uncomfortable ride that in no way shape or form passed the wife test . It didn't even pass the me test . Lol

 

Note for today when you decide you need to rip out your interior and all that just go ahead and keep all your amp wires in place...

I am now re-installing my amp wiring.

Well I ordered a new amp but it didn't come in yet so I got impatient and just stuck this one back in.

 

Daydreaming at work today thinking about my welded hub bolts (nauseous) and ya, now i'm guessing the PO screwed up the hub assemblies also, thus the tacks - guess i'll find out tomorrow.

Might have a fully rebuilt car before I get the new wheels on it

Well I got the new Nismo studs in with no problems and no hub damage

Also, coolant flush and new upper/lower hoses - rear shock mount gaskets fixed the bag of tin cans sound in the trunk - new SS brake lines and flush with Castrol DOT 4. However, the bleeding didn't go well, I eventually gave up and took it in - 50 bucks and i supplied the fluid...I'm back in the saddle haven't tried it under extremes, but I love the pedal feel so far-definitely an improvement, small but measurable.
But i'll tell ya, a spongy brake pedal after a flush and bleed is heart wrenching!

Next up alignment and get the dang new wheels and rubber on

 

Man you're really lucky not to have dropped a wheel on the highway somewhere. Jeesh. Sorry to hear that.

 

Well on the bright side, I didn't have to drill out some spinning studs...but it was close on one.

The PO had everything done at the dealer, with the exception of adding longer studs for some wheel spacers. ..I'm real glad he didn't attempt anything else!
