Today i traveled from Boston to Toronto for the holidays in the Z, however I didn't make it to Toronto YET. Summer tires on the Z still and bad decision to drive it 6 hours to Toronto. Got to Albany NY before it started to snow and stick on the HWY. I'm from Atlanta originally and this is my first winter driving the Z. I gave it a the slightest tap on accel peddle and immediately car shifts to the left lane and i begin sliding. ended up on middle median and THANKFUL that I did not hit any other car or any stationary object. Waited 30 minutes for trooper and tow truck to pull me out. At this point the snow was coming down hard and i'm doing 30 mph on hwy feeling every slight movement of steering wheel slide my car out under me. I pulled in the next rest stop and waited 3 hours before i deemed it safer to find the nearest hotel and here I am now. exhausted...

It will be my first wrap and the next will be cherry red
The paint is pretty bad, so much damage, i even need to fill it in before wraping and sand it down a bit hehe.

Agreed, I don’t care for the matte finishes. I love the idea of a wrap.

Welcome to albany NY where our infrastructure is declining, our weather is terrible and our taxes are high. Never drive through NY in December on summer tires. Lucky you werent in arbor hill while waiting for a tow, you wouldn't have a Z anymore.

Apparently every plow in NY was broken on my way home from work in 7 inches of snow. Soo i plowed the roads for them.

next morning drove a lil bit more and got stuck about 40 miles outside buffalo. Waited about 3 hours for AAA to come out to tow me out again. 8 hour trip turned into 2 day trip.

where is arbor hill? i looked it up and saw it was just north of albany. I remember there is an area on the NY thruway where there is "Falling rocks" and its kinda hilly, thankfully I wasn't there when there was snow. TMR i'm heading back to boston and checking weather like crazy.

First time wraping, took us 4 hours to get the roof and hood done, re-did the roof 3 times to learn but the hood went smooth the first time and no issues

(The car is not whiped off so there are greasy fingerprints/spots all over it)

debadging and fixit some big cracks in the door tomorrow.

OK, I may not be a big fan of matte vinyl but that's turning out nicely!

Better put some more time into that bondo or it's going to stick out like a sore thumb. Body work needs to be pretty much perfect under your wrap.

Had some free time this past couple of days so I finally started the wrap project on my Z!
Not bad at all for my first time working with vinyl wrap.

So far, it's been about 7 hours worth of work. Made a rookie mistake and didn't order enough material so I still need to wrap the hatch, spoiler, front and rear bumper!
