To swap out to a manual is roughly 4k. Transmission, diff, drive shaft, clutch pedal assembly, cutting holes and not to mension labor cost. This kit installed 2k. And I already have a Transgo shift kit installed. It bangs through gears so fast.

Battery Tender is actually the brand name and I have the Battery Tender Jr. model.
You can get this online at Amazon, Costco and other stores. It is a very popular brand.
Everything you need is included in the packaging.

NOTE: I had to file down the connectors a little to get a perfect fit on the battery terminal clamp. This isn't really necessary but it allows the Tender connectors to seat flush inside the raise lip of the clamp. Took about a minute of filing. Very soft metal. Of course just tightening the bolt down will bend it into place.

I have a NOCO Genius G7200 charger. Use it primarily on my roadster. Very happy with it. Don't have to think about anything as it supports EVERY type of battery, has intelligent mode diagnostics and "repair" mode, charges only when needed, and it does so fast with the higher output. Basically it just does its job without my expending any brain neurons. (Can't afford to waste what little there is. )

Looked at Battery Tender brand and after reading all the tech junk on every brand, bought mine because I liked the looks of the NOCO better. Hahahahaha. That's shopping the MicWay.... intelligently researched but decision based on a high sense of aesthetics. Yuk yuk yuk. But yeah, both brands are pretty decent. My buddy has the Battery Tender. They both do what they're supposed to do.

Never installed the connector kit though. No real point, IMO...alligator connector works just fine and I'd use those anyways moving from car to car - if I ever needed to.

Now that my 33's older (much older) brother finally moved out of the house, Junior got his room back...

...and was gonna say "Been a while since these two shared a roo....". But, in thinking about it, don't think these two ever shared the garage. The roadster was in there with my red S30 (just sold) and the Banana 280Z (sold just as the red one was inbound).

Anyhow, now that it gets to live inside again, decided to give her a little sprucing up. And after living near/under our front tree, it needed some major attention!

Hard cut, followed by soft cut, followed by a full application of Menzerna.

OK, I get it, what's so special about this? Nothing...everyone does it. But, the pleasure of taking two years worth of built up crud off the car, well, very satisfying. And the slick surface makes it faster!! Free horsepower with no aero drag! But ya, I have other reasons why being out in the garage being able to do heavier car chores is so satisfying; so, hey.

Ze 33 is happy. <=== Y'see what I did there? Yeah, lame.

Happy Holidays, all!

PS And yes, I know about the discoloration of the "plastic" parts of the car from different rates of fade. Painted front bumper after the new year. It won't match either but at least it'll be evenly painted (unlike the horror that it is now...Mic with a rattle can. Scary.) Laff...

The car looks fantastic Mic! Ever notice how the car seems to run better once you bust your butt detailing it (does to me anyhow hehe!)? Nice work!

Is that KYO? It looks amazing. Here is a couple of mine, I'm hoping to have a lot of work done over this winter. Today I restored my few year old TK Hebi Bebi with some White Diamond polish but I didn't take any pics. It was kind of boring but it came out awesome.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys, appreciated! I actually didn't start out to do the whole car. Wanted to find out if some of the paint fade on the roof and gate were polishable (they weren't) but once I got on a roll, well.... couldn't stop. Haha.

But that's a good thing. I might as well tell you why it was more a triumph for me. I had some health issues starting early this year (probably well before, actually) that had me unable to do much physically because I was weak and winded. However, now, after being under medical care, I'm 100% OK and regaining strength and stamina. So, for me to spend a few hours beautifying my beauty (har!), well, it's a sign. A good one. Heck, I'm even back on my bike working up to my old 50 mile standard rides.

Randy, it IS faster without berry stains messing up the aero!

And NVhim, yep, KY0. And while it turned out OK yesterday, the clearcoat is pretty much toast on the aft end of the roof and part of the hatch. But happy with it no matter what. As they like to prattle on about some of the old cars for sale on these auction sites, "Wow, it's got great P-A-T-I-N-A!!" Pssh, that's like saying, "Mic, you look great with all those wrinkles and gray hair!" Sorry, maybe I'm too old school but ehhhhh, faded paint is faded paint.

Great looking Z33 Thirzty! You have done some excellent work "down under"; you will be very glad to know what has been done even though basically unseen like you mentioned!

Painted my interior trims. You guys already know the factory interior paint is horrible. It looks 10000x better and makes the car feel new again. There's probably a bunch of threads on restoring the trims but I made a DIY video

Default Kirk roll bar

Well, it is in! Bolted and secured. It took me about 10hrs in my driveway . About 2hrs removing everything, 3 hours installing the bar. 3 hrs reinstalling all the panel with the big main hoop in the way. Scratched my head for 2 hrs to figure out how to put everything together.
too bad the buddy club rails are out of stock. Will have to wait 1 month to install my sparco evo2 I just bought used locally. The stock seats don't fit very well with the bar. Hopefully the sparco will be better .
