Im finally a real 350z owner, because I have done the big 3.
Just going to button things up tomorrow. If I can move...
Turned out only one of my tubes was leaking o well..
Also replaced the spark plugs while I was at it.
Looking good! Hopefully it didn't take you too long. I believe you are right about that hole on the VC. I remember double-checking all my work when I was finished and I don't think it was not used either.
Although, it would appear you're running out of activities What's next?
So it seems that is just a useless hole. After hours of searching and YouTube videos along with the clue of that nut being the only dingy looking part of the old cover.
It hides under the o2 sensor plug, if anyone is so inclined to go check and confirm its worthlessness.
Yes, IIRC, there was an extra hole on mine as well, it drove me crazy...drivers side right?
Took car for test drive, sounded like complete ****, was not idling good, almost stalled multiple times, and pretty much sounded like a Subaru.
Took it around the block, then parked it and took the juke to the grocery store and thought about all the bad choices I have made in life...
On the way home my wife told me I should stop messing with the car, especially since it was perfectly fine before and now it will barely stay running...
(I was pretty bummed)
It started raining a little bit, and it was dark outside but I tossed on a jacket and grabbed a few flashlights and want to give the car a quick once over...
Cylinder#5 coil pack wasnt plugged in all the way...
Fired it back up, ran like a champ, went for a 10 mile cruise and filled up the tank...
I feel like an idiot, but now im at least a relieved idiot.
Kind of good day, but at the same time a little sad knowing this will be my last ZdayZ with my Z.. I spent several hours making sure the exterior was in perfect shape. Last weekend spent a day cleaning the interior.
I will show it this year assuming weather holds.
After I was done I received a call from an older gentleman saying he wants a Z because his miata doesn't fit his golf clubs. Plans on coming down Memorial day weekend since I told him not taking it to Zdayz was out of the question. I told him I was still on the fence about selling it, he told me to call after the show if I want to let it go and he'll head down from michigan and trailer her and all original parts away. It's been a great 8 years and 20k miles or so. He will use her similarly to how I have but probably more driving than I have done.
Will be getting full asking price if I decide to let her go.. it was so relaxing doing a reset wash on her.
thanks for sharing Chad. One day in the future I may have to sell mine as well. Yours looks super clean. May the price be high and may the next owner treat it well.

Picture of her the last time I showed her...
Congratz Chad, glad I'm not showing this year against you this year, the only Mag Black ZR I've ever seen that's cleaner/shinier than mine. Beautiful car, indeed!
All the best my friend, see you at ZdayZ 2018.

Finished up my BBK install after a good bleeding with my Motive power bleeder.
Nice firm pedal and excellent stopping power. I thought my head was going to smack the steering wheel on my first set of stops to bed in the new pads
If the 50 oak trees surrounding my driveway would ever stop dropping all those stringy dingleberries all over, I might actually be able to give it a good wash and wax.
Did you use a brake adapter, or was it bolts-on?
EDIT: Did you use a 350Z Brake lines or 370Z brake lines for the Akebono calipers? I'm looking to do this myself soon.

Who else takes this off every time even though it has a oil change window?
No way man....I bought that shield so I wouldn't HAVE to take it off anymore. ha ha. Though the oil change window makes things a little tight I haven't had any trouble yet 3 oil changes in with it. Longest damn part of the oil change was taking the old shield off and putting back on.
