Wow, those are kinda rare now I think. No longer made, very OG. Looks like there was a matching Crawford tower brace to compliment the cast plenum.
Found an old thread through Google image search showing the combination together. I would link it, but it appears these forums block anything from the competitor "tech" site.
Cheers!

I believe APS also had strut tower bars that went in front of their plenum as well for the same reasons. Also, love me a good earthing kit. Found this image on the ol google machine.
Installed stanceparts front cups and didltched the smaller fortune auto cups
Finished my Alcantara in the trunk(all done w that now)
Installed a larger android screen (weekend before), new 06 clockspring so the steering wheel audio controls will work ( all sorted and working now, been a long time coming, as this is an 05 w an 06 st wheel)
MAAAAAANNNN! I was about two seconds from trading my 2003 350Z and 87 Supra for a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V.. I had to really think about this one.. two cars for one. Whew I think I may have saved myself...
Installed an ISR Stainless Clutch line, as the factory set up lacks some feel (for my preference).
I'm not very impressed with the product itself, while it works, The Sikky line seems to be a bit longer and have some better mounting options and comes with heat protection material.
The lack of feel is more in the pedal than the line
I assumed as much. This definitely helped in "responsiveness" as the factory clutch damper is now gone. Figured its a fraction of the cost of an RJM pedal. haha.
Waited six months on my Endless brake pads for the 8-POT calipers. Finally came in and I have to say it’s probably one of my favorite under the nose performance mods.
installed along with the 2-piece rotors, and swapped the Swift 9kg with Swift 16kg which greatly improved my ride quality. More stiff but no bouncy rides. HKS coils with Swift springs I heard is amazing combo.
Assume there are no plans to have those coilovers properly revalved for that spring rate? HKS coils are serviceable, and when I was able to tour their suspension facility in 2024, they still had inventory of parts for some of their long discontinued models. I believe the downside is exactly that though - the dampers need to be shipped to Japan.
A couple of weekends ago I went to a local car show, everything was going smooth. The car drove great, it sounded great I was so happy to drive my car to the show. The kids loved the cars asking the same stupid questions. Like, do I drift it ? or do I have the pops and bangs tune? or are you gonna stance it?.. NO to all of those. lol. show was great, I left and needed to get fuel and on the way a fellow 350Z owner tracked me down through traffic and followed me to the gas station. we talked about our cars for about 20 mins and he left. I got my fuel and tried to leave but the car didn't start.. I have never went into panic mode fast in my life. I pulled out the tool bag and went to work checking everything I could.. I was tapping on the starter, pulling fuses, disconnecting the battery, pushing the car between pumps. for 45 mins I tried everything I could to get the car started.. and I got nothing all the lights came on when the key is turned to position 2 with the clutch pushed in.. I just could not figure it out. One of the local performance shop owners ( he is a good friend of mine.) I am actually glad he stopped by to grab fuel without him I would still be kinda stuck. First thing he said was "AWWW **** ANOTHER BROKEN VQ. Why is the hood up? " I told him what was going on and he laughed.. then he said "look at your floor board.. you see that hard plastic down there. that's your clutch pedal grommet. the thing that presses the safety switch that allows the car to start".... MIND BLOWN IT WS SOOO FREAKING SIMPLE.. I was so embarrassed and off to Z1 I ran to get a little grommet..
Cool story. This is becoming more common. Knowing about this, I would have said the same thing!
Those little bump stops are over 20 years old in many cases, suffering from dry rot. For peace of mind, I would recommend all 350Z owners replace them. Because sooner or later, they will fail. I already have my Z1 replacement set, I keep the replacements in the Z just in case. I'm not rushing to replace mine yet since I already did a full inspection of the bump stops when I replaced my OEM clutch pedal with an RJM unit. The factory rubber pieces are in good shape since the Z has uncommonly low mileage, but they are still old and could still crack and fall apart.
Cheers!
