I have the same wheel and brake set up. It sucks to do, especially since yours are red. But I grinded down the edges of each caliper and its been fine. I track it and have no issues. Small rocks/gravel get caught in there once in awhile and sounds terrible but they fly out shortly after. I was in the same boat as you. Everyone said they would fit no problem.
I have less than a millimeter of space between the lower portion of the caliper and inside wheel area......Im concerned that even if I grind them I would need to remove a bunch of metal off of the caliper.....like quite a bit.
Is this what you ended up grinding? I found a thread on here with others that had the same problem.

When I did my BBK (same) with 18" Enkei's (same) my driver front slightly grooved the barrel with red paint. Make sure you torque both wheel and caliper to spec before making adjustments/decisions. I chose to Dremmel-off about 1.5 mm from the caliper to prevent further interference, this correction and setup has been spotless since. Cannot see it with wheel on, GL!

Yep that's the exact spots and you do have to remove quite a bit of material. Its not noticable on the silver Infinity calipers. But you shouldn't see it from the outside anyways. I haven't had any flaking or chipping of the paint around where I dremeled yet either.
Setting up my dyno tune with UpRev ARC with Specialty Z for all my bolt-ons and converting to full E85 with ID 1000cc injectors. I was told by my tuner that the stock pump will be adequate to handle the change.
Definitely going to post pictures of the baseline 91 dyno to tuned E85 dyno runs.
In the mean time, I bought a new exhaust set up, the Tanabe Medalion Concept G exhaust in response to the CA $1,000 fine on >95dB limits. The Tanabe exhausts is stated to be >93dB at all RPM range. Looking to buy a nice y-pipe like Tanabe or Stillen... hint hint. Besides, it was long due that the eBay HKS fakes go to the gutter. I feel ashamed to disrespect the HKS name. Maybe that why I never seem to get my hands on any HKS DDR.
Here's my botched picture I took. Angelus Oak, California.
I've been running around on stock suspension for 3 years now and finally decided to do something about the horrendous wheel gap and body roll. Just ordered Bilstein B14s, SPL everything except toe bars (cuz dat oem coil), sway bars up next!
Edit: Woops, nope, the B14s were on back order til mid may, changed the order to B16s instead! What the heck, it's tax return season anyway!
You're going hard on the suspension game! Literally! Must be nice to have SPL products, but you get what you pay for. I went on your IG page, I made a comment on one of your post regarding the APR cooling plate. I am hoping you get back to me on that one. Get some differential struct brace from Bell Raceworks via Z1. Overall, looking to your pictures.
Meanwhile here in SoCal, on V-Day, I was driving to a flower store for my lady and then I hit a shallow flood which was anything but shallow and it caught on my rear diffuser and forcibly ripped my rear bumper off from my Z. This is the second incident that it happened. All caused by my diffuser, on my second one now. My Z is siting in the garage with that damage. I'm going to go in to see what I can do but I'm reconsidering my options. As maybe I should look into a Nismo rear bumper... I found a full carbon fiber Nismo rear end for $700...

My front splitter and undershroud got pulled off in an unexpectedly deep flooded area.

I liv at the end of a gravel road that was flooded multiple times. I had to fiberglass my front lip/undershroud twice already. It was a carbon fiber one originally. Now it looks and weights more like fiberglass 😃
Had some time to share some pictures. Figured why not.
Here is a ID1000 from a built GT-R build with 15K miles. He went to ID2000 hence the box I have. Might forward them to ID for flow testing & cleaning, but haven't had a clue on costs or if it is necessary?
Side shot of the new Tanabe Medallion G Concept exhaust. It did say for 03-06 Z, but they're the same for 07-08 so no big deal. Right guys...?
Inside the exhaust tip, is the Tanabe Advantex packing material technology, yes, I copied and pasted that. It really did shrink as you can see.
With that, I have a new Stillen Y-pipe to mate. It has no flex pipe, so scraping worry-free, I scrape a lot in entrances/speedbumps in SoCal. It looks... like a straight pipe to me. Look like it's going to be loud. I have Kinetix Racing HFC with stock headers. Overall, I just wanna throw my HKS Rep. out the window and at the same time improve my exhaust noise. The Tanabe exhaust is so well polished.... I almost don't even want to install it or buy a daily for the rains.
What do you think? I just found a nice Amuse Powerhouse R1 Titan Extra for sale for $1.083 on UpGargae so I feel split.
Sunday work review.
1. I installed new gasket on my kinetix velocity manifold. The one on there were pretty stiff. I bought the felpro cork gasket from autozone. Felt much better. I also cleaned the Throttle body pretty good while everything was out.
2. Sparco Harness 6pt. install.
I am starting fabricating some anchor points for my harness. So far the sub-belt mount needed some fabrication since the floor under the passenger seat is quite uneven. I bought some 2" flat steel and made some brackets that bolted to the floor, I can move the car from the eyebolt, this is pretty sturdy. I also had to fabricate an extension to install the lap belt onto the oem seat belt hole. So far I've broken 4 drill bits drilling into the steel. Still need to drill the transmission tunnel to install the second belt anchor.
3. Car numbering. I tried to remove some old numbers I made using vivid+ vinyl. Doesn't want to go easily. will have to use heat gun to get the glue to soften. I will try to keep my number the same this year.
First track day of the year is in less than 2 weeks. Still got plenty more to do.

Sounds like a lot of work to install that 6th point. If you can upload photos, that'd be great!
I picked up the car last night from Paint Perfection Unlimited in Troy,VA. I had a Shine v2 front, shine fender flares, g35 splash guards, and vertex sides painted and installed. I'll take more pics in a couple weeks after I can wash the car but I'm happy with the results.
