I had ordered up M10-1.25 serrated stainless steel flange nuts to use when reassembling the exhaust. It took them a month to arrive from China, but they came in today and I lined everything up and the exhaust is now once again complete. Being that I wasn't terribly familar with the Z33 when I bought the OEM replacement exhausts, I didn't realize that the Y-pipe I picked up was actually from an HR. So, the effort I put into getting replacement splash shields and re-fitting them to the undercarriage was for naught, as the HR Y-pipe does not fit with those installed. It was good to hear, for the first time, the Z as it was intended - with no exhaust leaks! Oh, and I coated all the exhaust studs before the nuts went on, too.

cars still up in the air as I'm doing the trans and diff fluid tomorrow along with my Z1 catback

Detailed/polished inside and out; nice to get that whole package complete anytime (spent a couple of days on and off)! Also had to get a new TPMS sensor installed on dr. side rear; that new sensor/battery should add approx. 1 rwhp I'd estimate!

I'd recommend leaving the stem caps off for weight reduction 😁

Uh Uhh! The new just took the place of the old, but I had mine made custom from CF and even powder coated it in Denmark; savings of 1/4 gram = more power, less weight. Thanks Trav and I love that car of yours (you obviously are meticulous about it and it shows)

Thanks. I'm enjoying it too. Modified my 1991 Eagle Talon TSi with Stillen parts back in the 90's so kept with what I know.

I've only had mine for 2 weeks and already love it have done a decent amount of mods lol,, my favorite so far was the z1 m spec catback, it sounds great and if you drive calm and keep the revs down it isn't too loud. If you go wide open throttle and rev that thing it sounds glorious lol

Post pics and put it in the 350Z Nismo registry in the Nismo section.

I got the left rear knuckle removed and replaced the shock mount bushing. I had first tried to get this done with the HF ball joint tool and leaving the knuckle on the Z as others have recommended on here, but in the end I couldn't get the ball joint separated (needed to get clearance to use the tool on the bushing) from the knuckle without first removing all the other control arms, and at that point I decided to go all the way and remove the knuckle and use a press to get the bushing out and the new one in.

So, some comments: in another thread on replacing this bushing, someone recommended just removing the knuckle to make the bushing swap, since it was only 15 minutes to pull the knuckle anyway - NOT! Well, maybe on a rust-free cream-puff with under 10k miles... I wrestled with this off and on over the course of the day and finally got it out. The worst was trying to free the ball joint, as the nut was pretty well seized on there...but I did get it off eventually.

Then, I was able to use a shop press a friend had built some years ago and gave to me when he no longer had need of it. The press made short work of the bushing swap. So, yeah, I do have to agree that it goes easier when removing the knuckle. I was only using a 4-ton bottle jack, so I don't see the need to by the 20-ton HF press when the time comes to get one (the 12-ton should do fine for this sort of work).

AJ2003 - this looks awesome! Exactly like a project I have lined up for the summer.
Looks to me that is the powder coated aluminum intake tube from Z1 - but is that just the high flow Stillen intake kit also from Z1? The housing above the filter looks different than what I see on their site; but could just be the angle of pictures. That joker has been in my cart for a week now, might have to pull the trigger after finding this thread.
Thanks!

Yes, Aluminum intake tube from Z1 and Stillen intake kit from Z1. Stillen site didn't have any intakes for 2003 so ordered from Z1. Everything fit together great other than strut bar (raised up to fit plenum spacer) hit into MAS on intake. I put a 3/4" spacer under the intake housing where silver bolt (right side of Stillen housing) bolts into car. That raised the intake tube up enough for the MAS to clear the strut bar base. Could possibly rotate tube that MAS is on 90 degrees but might interfere with dipstick. And I didn't feel like ripping everything apart to do that.
